Art Prints, Gig Posters, Apparel and Original Art! Any help will be appreciated. The cost of moving and escaping New York City ain't cheap!

Hey OHIO!!!
If you live in Columbus, OH...I'm LECTURING on my career as an Artist/Rock Poster Dork at CCAD on March 12th
It's open to the public. You don't hafta be a student to attend. I’ll be giving away a bunch of prints and merch at the end of the lecture! And please repost!

Brian Ewing
llustrator and graphic designer
Monday, March 12, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Canzani Center Auditorium (map it)
Free & Open to the Public
Brian Ewing is one of the most prolific, iconic image-makers in rock music and pop art. Like his heroes and mentors - Frank Kozik, Coop, and Tara McPherson, among others—he has built his success in poster art into a career that spans illustration, album covers, original art prints, skate decks, and shirt designs. Informed by art nouveau, ukiyo-e woodblock printing, SoCal “kustom” car culture, and the comics, Ewing’s work fuses his explorations of perspective, color, and space with classic imagery from American youth culture. His clients have ranged from Metallica and the Warped Tour to the Strokes and Death Cab for Cutie (not to mention The New Yorker and a number of advertising agencies).
Currently a resident of New York City, Ewing attended the American Academy of Art Chicago for Illustration and the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design for Fine Arts. His first monograph, Don’t Hold Your Breath: The Art of Brian Ewing, was published by Dark Horse in 2010.

First time filming one of these. Experimenting with time-lapse. First time using final cut pro (shakes fist in the air like the Hulk). And uh yeah… it’s over 6 minutes long.
I’m working on a few pieces for a group show titled “The Royal Couple” which will be opening on January 6th at the Get Up Gallery - located inside of the Emergency Arts building in Downtown Las Vegas.

I really pushed myself on this project with setting up the colors for printing. There is a lot of over-printing on this one as well as experimenting with texture. Plus owls aren't that easy to draw! Jush shayin'...
Some printers shy away from jobs like this because the project demands extra care when mixing the colors and printing. My printer killed it on this job. And by "killed it" I mean he went above and beyond with the printing and color matching. And when I say "stupid" I mean "stupid fresh".
This was inspired by their song "Minerva" and the album art for their latest release "Diamond Eyes". Minerva was the virgin goddess of poetry, medicine, wisdom, commerce, weaving, crafts and magic. She is often depicted with her sacred creature, an owl, which symbolizes her ties to wisdom. The owl is chewing on a rat that is biting down on a banner that reads "cuando el cofre se sacude y la aguja se parte vienen con migo rápidamente." There's a 20% DISCOUNT for any of you scholars that can translate it and figure out which Deftones song it's from. Don't fake it and use a translation website either because they suck! (Just type in the song title in the promo code box when placing your order.) The snake is there because I wanted to draw a snake - transforming from a tattoo into the real thing. And I drew the girl with the side of her head shaved cuz ladies like that make me swoon. Sigh... A boy can dream, right?
Check out the photos of the actual print to see what I'm talking about.

I'm stoked to announce my new giclee print "DREAM OF THE ELDER GODS". Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft and done completely in pencil - conjuring up all the cosmic radness of the deities from space who once ruled the Earth and who have since fallen into a death-like sleep.
