This has just been one of those weeks when you really think: "Life is good."

Last Monday I met up with the SGNL group at the Efteling theme park. I have never been to a meet before so was really looking forward to it, and I was not disappointed. It really was a great day. I haven't been to a fun park in years. So to go again now with a bunch of cool SG members form here in NL was serious fun!

Tuesday was a little more of a worry day. You see there is this girl from work I really (REALLY) like. We've been seeing each other for about two months now and through a series of unfortunate events (no, I am not going to tell you) I was genuinely afraid that she was going to end it all. We met up at work and... well... I have never been so wrong about anything in my life. I mean I was WAY off. Seems my paranoia had once again gotten the better of me. She didn't want to end it at all, in fact I think our relationship (despite a few complications) is starting to get a fair bit more serious. I know it's still kind of early days and all, but I have a pretty good feeling about this.

My weekend has been great too. Yesterday I had an archery competition. It was great fun. I haven't been able to get to the range a lot lately so any chance I have I relish. Especially when there's a competition. Now I could act all happy that I came in first in my category (Barebow, Adults)... But since there were only two people in it that's not really a great achievement In total I came in second among the traditional shooters. Peter (from he junior competition) shot so insanely well that no one had a chance of beating him. Hopefully I can gt a little more practice in the next few months and give him a run for his money next time round

After the competition it was straight back home for a little going away party/barbecue. A good friend of mine Stan is on his way home to Ecuador as of Monday, so a few of us got together to wish him a fond farewell.

It's weird having to say goodbye so often. Two weeks from now another friend of mine is off to Israel for a few years to get his Phd. It's like my circle of closest friends are scattering all across the globe. Having moved around a fair bit when I was a kid I had kind of hoped life would settle down by now. Well, so much for that bright Idea... Still, can't really complain. I know all these guys are having a great time and it gives us an excuse to throw good parties

Spent most of today cleaning up the mess from yesterday (wasn't much) and invited my parents over to help finish off the left over meat (double barbecue weekend.... GOOD ). Then I just logged in here to update my (somewhat lacking in attention) blog and what do I see: My friend Caia has gone live! Super sweet! Be sure to check her out and give her set some love. She really is gorgeous!
