The Bad

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

I didn't make it to London and I tried to plan för Milan but it looks like that will fall through as well because I have to spend the money I had saved on fixing my jaw; not being able to open my mouth without cracking, migraines and severe pain is a bit impractical not to mention annoying. I can't wait to be finished with school so I can make a real living wage. Did you know that there are rules in Sweden that prevent you from making any decent money on the side of you student loans? The idea is that you should be studying full time yet the loans don't even get you above the poverty line. Insane and aggravating much? This is why I am in student politics and despite loving studying want to finish asap.

The Good

On the upside I am getting an all expenses paid trip to Brussels for a conference on Womens Sexual and Reproductive rights, at Parlament. How cool is that? I could kill to work there and now they are paying me to come visit. I promise to take lots of pictures. I am going to stuff my face on chocolate, waffles and fish, yum! smile

And looks like I might be joining the board of our student union; thanks in part to some harassment by the president of said union who will be joining me on said trip.

yes, I've learned that college seems to be a trial in living in abject poverty....really really tough at times!

here in the US, it is interesting that they finally raised the maximum amounts (both yearly and total) you can take out for a Student Loan....considering that colleges have been raising tuition about $1000 a year, that was nice!

and free trips are always great!
