The Ed Gavagan Epic. Around 45 minutes total. But you should listen to all three stories.

I do not really care if someone tries to lie to me. What I do care about is when people are dishonest with themselves.

You cannot expect other people to be honest with you if you are not honest with yourself.

Almost no one really lives a life in which they are honest with themselves. They pick their self serving delusions and tend to project them onto the world with the expectation that the rest of the world is suppose to follow the rules they have decided that it should. The only people who are utterly guileless and honest are those who lack the intellectual capacity to be otherwise. Everyone who is not a small child or mentally handicapped lives a life where they are expected to and have to control their own information. For those who make a dramatic point about disliking people who lie. You could not handle life if everyone in the world was truly honest with you. It is like honesty in politics. The truly honest and forthright politician will always lose the election.

Because then you get those cooty blisters from hanging out in the public toilet and how are you going to explain that to the misses?

She sat on his couch in the living room. Taking in his apartment as she waited for his return. Spontaneously, the lights dim and she turns her head scanning for the reason the lights went out. She sees him slowly walking from his bedroom, moving to light candles.
“Do you like anus?”, he said attempting to glide across the room. She stares at him in slightly amused confusion. This situation might be a little threatening with someone else. With the right person, it could be actually arousing. But he is wearing discount store lounge pants and what looks like a smoking jacket that’s been roughly cobbled together.
“Do I like what?”, she answers trying not to laugh out loud.
“Anus, It sort of tastes like licorice”, he continues on his mood setting. “I am not surprised that you haven’t heard of it. I discovered it while self educating. It is used to flavor liqueurs from around the world.”
“Oh Anise”, she said. “yeah I am familiar with it.”

This child is like my nephew. If I have children then I don't suppose they will be so entertaining. I would expect that any children that I had would be less open and inclined to keep what they knew to themselves or assume that everyone should know it as I did. I would expect them to be monsters of of power, will and rage. Constantly hungry for information and not to be challenged. The fact that my parents existed was almost meaningless to me. They were something that was useful at times and then an impediment at other times. When my parents were divorced I celebrated because now my father would not be around to be in my way or make me join in athletic activity. My parents would discipline me, but I would ignore what they said and go on doing whatever I desired to do. The only thing that limited my behavior was my own logic and reason. If it was not for my ADD. I probably would have left home at a much younger age. I am tired of my ADD. I hope that kid had a better life.
