My account is cancelled at the end of this month. SG has been good to me, but I'm not as active as I used to be, nor do I have a desire to be.

If you want to stay tuned/keep in touch, you can find me here:

Thanks for the memories folks! Keep enjoying SG.

Man. I watched Supernatural tonight (from my handy dandy PVR) and I have to say...1967 Chevy Impala = teh sex. You can have your Mustangs from Bullit, your Deloran's and yes, even your Ecto 1s and Batmobiles, but I will take the Metallicar any day. Rawrrrrr.love

Oooooh lookatthis! An actual blog entry.

I have to say, this mainstreaming in big business thing is not exactly a good fit for me. It's a bit like a really sexy pair of shoes that just doesn't really fit no matter how much you want them too. They just keep giving you blisters and you wonder why on earth you bought them in the first place when you were so much happier with your old, scuffy sneakers.

Bah, I think that metaphor really just got away from me.

So I'm writing again. I'm slowly wading into the world of lengthy original fiction and the planning for my story is kicking my ass. Honestly, the planning is so much work I'm not sure when I'll get to the fun part. Also, it turns out that my ideas tend to run towards the dark (like wicked dark), supernatural and downright scary (I had to put it on the back burner for a while because it was giving me nightmares).

I am, however, pleased with the one story that seems to be fighting me tooth and nail to get out of my brain and on the page. Who knew a piece of literature that terrified me as a child would spur such a flight of the imagination? I certainly did not.

I've decided I want to expand the tattoo on my back. It just looks unfinished somehow, but I'm not really sure where I want to go with it. Also, I can't decide if I want more tattoos or a new laptop (my Mac is from '05 and I'm kind of suck on Word for the Mac now that I've spent two years training in Office on PC), or if I just want to spend it on my honeymoon.

Holy merciful crap, my wedding is in ONE MONTH AND 18 DAYS. It has me reaching for a paper bag every time I think of it. There's so much crap to be done and NO time to do it.

I need another year to plan this...or to decide to run away and get hitched by Elvis. I wish I'd asked my family to fly down to Vegas with us instead. Then I could have the Priscilla-haired dream wedding I've always wanted.

Bah, I'm riding out the last of my subscription to the site. Probably won't renew next year since I always forget to go on. I'm pretty much Sloth personified.

I'm so lazy I make couch potatoes look like olympic athletes.

Bah, I quit twitter. It was too much effort.

Also, I'm always more nostalgic for Victoria in the fall. I miss the trees and the leaves all over the sidewalks and how stately and perfecto the Camosun campus looks, feels, and sounds in the fall. I miss wooly sweaters without a jacket, cute hats for fashion reasons only, and doing my two charity walks (Heart and Stroke, Run for the Cure).

I can practically smell the air on Dallas road when I think about the Heart and Stroke walk. It was a family tradition that I was lucky enough to take part in with my grandma before she passed away (I still don't know how she did it year after year with her pacemaker going and ironically taking smoke breaks along the way). It even makes me miss scrambling to find parking on Cook street. God I miss Cook Street. I still haven't found a place that tops Rosie's for milkshakes.

I miss the cold smell in the air, and all the kids wearing rain slickers and gumboots. I miss unfrozen pumpkins and kids trick-or-treating in costumes without parkas on top. I miss gray days down on the Inner Harbour, going to the museum and enjoying the last of the hardcore street performers. I miss the pick-your-own pumpkin patch on the way to the Ferry, and the toy show in Sidney.

I love my life here in Calgary and I'm really overjoyed that we're actually getting fall this year (awwww yeah), please don't think I don't, but I'm still carrying on the love affair with Victoria that's been going on all my life.

Islanders; enjoy all the sights, sounds, tastes, and smells your beautiful autumn has to offer, you truly lucky SOBs.

Two post in one day? Insanity. I recently joined twitter and feel dirty for doing so. Every time I tweet I feel like some kind of douchebag abercrombie and fitch spray tan bleach blond bimbo. Is that normal? I wonder if Dita Von Teese feels like that every time she tweets?

Blah, I feel like a bag 'o' shat. I have 15 hours of work (8 today, 7 tomorrow) before I get to be on my days off. I was supposed to go to BC, but alas the money she is not there. Why must money make the world go round?

Hey look, I got new hair. I brought in pictures of Zooey Deschanel when I got my hair cut, but because of the length of my hair I ended up with a Little J from Gossip Girl, or some kind of semi-Katy Perry. Hopefully it will be more ZD as it grows out.
