Whoa! Did I forget to mention that I went to the SG 2nd Burlesque Tour down in Austin, TX in 2005? Yes? It was great, although I agree with the 1st Tour video when they said they should've booked larger venues (why not again?). It was at a tiny open-air pub-type place called Emo's, in the busy downtown area somewhat close, but-not-quite, to the internationally known Sixth Street. Reagan and a few others were there, and some of the skits were similar to the 1st Tour (but were much better in person, lol!). tongue

I especially liked the Japanese girly band playing Japanese heavy metal. Quite a change from the girly pop and girlygirl synth music usually found in Asia nowadays. bok Sadly no photos were allowed of pretty much anything, although we found out later you could've taken a camera inside. It was pretty funny because numerous people were using camera phones and a few digicams near the front of the stage (not including the regular video staffers). eeek

I'm hoping SOMEBODY (including the 2nd Tour video people!) caught when one of the guys from the audience, all dressed in psuedo-goth metal black, climbed onto the stage while one of the SGs was doing a mock legs/privates shaving skit. We all thought it was part of the show as the guy smiled a lot and waves his arms in the air for her. Then when he faced her with this twisted smile on his face, the staff security dude ran across the stage out from the exit and CLOCKED the stupid MF from left-to-right sending him flying all the way into the far right wall. blackeyed I think the idgit was unconscious as he was physically dragged across the stage and dumped down the stairs at stage exit (before they did whatever else backstage?). LOL! skull

LOL! Sorry I've been away for so long. I've been busy with work for *edited commercial delivery name*., and gaming/admining on Halo (not to mention all of the forums!). eeek I will be posting a number of stills that will be used for my portfolio once I get the time to create a website.

I've recently completed an outdoor set for our prospective SG, Coriander. What was interesting about this set was the locations, one being near one lake, the other being on the far side of another. The first location we had to vacate because it sounded like a number of people were hiking through the Texas brush to our photography site, it turned out as we drove off to be a lost cow (but it's handlers came driving by to find it). The interesting part was that the second location was on a very busy public park nature trail. There was a time or two when someone found yet another path to our hilltop location and nearly caught Coriander's fine self with not a stitch on.

I had to direct one mother and her little daughter to a different path out, when she originally saw my tripod setup and thought it was a deer feeder station. She suspected something else but could never get a glimpse of Coriander's beautiful nudity peeking from behind a thick tree. Another guy in the old military PT outfit snuck up another path, and we aren't sure exactly what he saw, but I hope he had to make a pitstop in the bushes with those jollies! biggrin

Enjoyed the beginning side-effects of Hurricane Rita over this state called Texas. Expect multiple showers and massive winds beginning late-Sunday through Wednesday for Nature to lash out with frustrated vengeance at humanity. Personally I believe that both hurricanes Katrina and Rita were aiming at the Bush brothers but got sidetracked by congressional oversight to hit the innocent in the pocketbooks instead. Either way, the pirates of greed are taking over in both Louisiana and Texas after both hurricanes are gone.
The Fed gave Halliburton another no-bid contract to help with the cleanup in New Orleans, and since Halliburton/KBR are based in Houston I'd say it'd be a no-brainer the same will happen there next week. We'll see though. Locally there is often no gas and most of the grocery store shelves are bare of non-perishables. My dungeon has stocked up on enough filtered water and cheese nips to last a week, or about the time I'd expect stores to restock. Hurricane Rita was expected to become a Category 1 LAND hurricane but she petered out to a Cat 1 once hitting the coast. So nothing but tornados, heavy rains, and wild winds in my area and south through Houston. Watch the news! LOL! ooo aaa

The following is an excerpt from the SG Hopefuls group that I posted regarding model safety with unknown photographers.

"Wholeheartedly am I in agreement with being cautious. I do erotic (non-sexual) exhibitionist photography which, depending on the model's preferred theme, can even take us way out in the boonies. Most of my models contact me by word-of-mouth or on select mature sites (since the majority of them already have an open mind + theme ideas). They contact me either by word of mouth or by viewing my profile/group. I repeatedly STRESS during both email and telephone conversations":

1-That the model PLEASE let someone know where she is going.
2- Meet first at a neutral, very public location in order to check on comfort factors. Escort if possible. Be up-front if you are NOT completely interested. Too many photogs get no-shows at the last minute.
3- Bring a cell phone + have someone check on you, even if you have an escort. (You have some very dangerous people out there!)
4- Bring an escort to the shoot, if possible. Any number of female escorts and up to one male escort are allowed along.
5- Have a positive attitude that you would like photos, even if unsure or nervous on your results.
6- Know that if your theme is at a lake or other outdoorsie venue, that you take appropriate hiking gear. (Had one model insist on walking in high heels!)
7- Do a test session long before the actual shoot date.
8- Understand copyrights and sign necessary documents, with extra-specific areas as to limitations from either party.
9- Be prepared to show identification. If you are in a state that also puts your real address on the ID (and you are uncomfortable giving this to the photog), show the ID with your thumb covering your address. I don't want to know where my models live unless invited for a shoot at that location. Creepy people that see your ID but don't take your photos can stalk you, so be careful!
10- SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY! And have some ideas of what kinds of poses you'd be interested in. If possible, bring photos from magazines for both parties to work with. miao!!

Having shared the SG experience with a few SG members I know, I figured it was about time for my lame ass to get in here as well. Since I'm one of the thousands of SG Photographer Hopefuls, we'll simply see how many photo sets I can get on here. Competition is fierce, but the light of inspiration never bleeds completely dark. Twisted and entwined snarls baffle the path ahead for scores of days to come, yet overcome them say I. Besides, there's nothing like a fucked up electric bill to keep photography to an (in)sane footing. Peace yo!
