Spamming for love is annoying (and technically prohibited, and can get the HQ ban hammer dropped on hopeful), but you have to cut them a tiny little break since they have no "fan base" it's a bazillion times harder for them to get sets bought, it's also generally a lot harder for hopefuls to get the respect/attention of staff photographers (because they aren't a "sure thing" front page, since they have little to no track record) unless they are willing to pay $300 for a staff shoot (most staffers only shoot SGs for free), so most of the time hopefuls first set or two isn't shot by staffer which because of the "inner circle" (that picks set) consisting of mostly staffers who pick sets shot by, you guessed it, other staffers...it makes hopefuls have a even smaller chance of getting a set bought.
