So a new friend of mine saw my first post about wanting to be a suicide girl and attempted to encourage me to do my own thing... to post sets on my profile instead of applying to be a suicide girl. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. My fiancee completely flipped out on me... He rambled on and on about how nudity infront of other men is cheating on him and its disrespectful to him. I really dont care about the 'male gaze' as much as to put it out there that although I am not skinny or white, I am still beautiful. Is that wrong? I mean, it is true that I have little confidence when it comes to my body... I feel like I would get more confidence in my self just for taking the pictures! Is it true that men have this madonna-whore complex about the women that they are with? For them, is it ok for women to be nude in art as long as its not their girlfriends, wives, or daughters? I mean every women is definitely someone's daughter (or was once someone's son, to be politcally correct and inclusive), possbily someone's girlfriend, and maybe even someone's wife. And I am not talking about women who are in adult sex films and actually have sex. This is exclusively for women who pose in sugestive ways. Why do men assume that it is for them, as men. Why can't we pose for us and put them out in the world to make our statement on the world that we are beautiful, or unique, or just ourselves? But at the same time, is it bad to want some attention from other men?
