5 days work + 5 days school = miserable suffering with no days off. I don't really know how much more of this I can take.

I think as expected, I completely miss Kemper now that we are apart. There are so many things that we did together and so many memories that we had to share. Of course, this is completely the rigtht decision for us, but feels incredibly horrid. The last message she sent me wasn't entirely friendly nor do I blame her. But I do hope one day she will understand and be able to talk to me with an open mind once again.

Lana, thank you for being there. I would like to see my movie again but can work around your schedule.

I can't wait to get my motorcycle back from the shop. It has been there since AUG 27th, far too long. Supposedly I get it back later today. I can't wait!!!

Finally!!!!

I got accepted to Cal State University-Fullerton!!! It only took me a matter of... well, years.

Tonight was the last night I ever have to attend Fullerton JC. It was quite possibly the most unique final I have ever experienced. I took an in-class final exam last week, finished a 6 page take home final paper to turn in today, and then we did (this is where it gets weird) a 7 minute "power writing" in essay format. It gets better: then he placed us in groups where we discussed our power writing, agreed on a main point, then presented it to class. I don't really know what to make of it. It definitely felt more like regular classwork than a final. Oh well, as long as I get a C or better in the class I don't really care.

At work I had an appointment to decide what my summer schedule would look like. I have decided that having Saturday and Sunday off kind of blows. This summer I will have Sunday and Monday off; I need to have at least one day where I can take care of business at places that are typically closed weekend and only open 9-5. I suppose the bank would be a good example.

I am totally looking forward to my annual pirate party!!! We usually get over 100 people in attendance at our little house in Anaheim. Kemper is going to be there of course, and for party of the day she'll be sporting a chain bikini made by PenitenTangent, awesome craftsmanship. If you are going to be in the Anaheim area on the 16th of May and want to swing by, let me know and I'll shoot you the info.

DLR vs. WDW
(Disney Land Resort) (Walt Disney World)

There isn't really animosity between the two parks, but there are some disagreement. Because DLR was the original, it has seen a lot more finer tuning over the years and was blessed with Walt's personal touch. Walt wasn't there for the completion of WDW so he didn't get the final say in what happened with it.

The two locations are set up for a completely different experience due to their limiting factors. Between its two parks, DLR probably couldn't hold more that 100,000 people; where as, WDW has 4 parks, a couple water parks, and some extracurricular activities to entertain more than 4 times that amount. So while WDW offers quantity they can get bombarded by all the work it takes to run a large ship leading to things that are very "cookie cutter" with expectations of handling mass exploitation. Not that this is a bad thing, it just happens to be the most efficient for their operation.

DLR, while unable to stretch its limbs in the over developed city of Anaheim, has to make up for quantity by compensating with quality. DLR is in a great location that sits within a dense population. With the amount of applications to the DLR every day, they can hire the cream of the crop. This fleet of cast members is polished and trained to add a warm welcome to any guest's DLR visit. DLR also sits just half an hour away from Hollywood. This is key when it comes to entertainment; it opens the DLR castings to the wonderful cesspool of young ambitious artist that want a chance to shine and the casting office loves new talent.

Other than the structure of the two, the general attitude of the people in terms of what they think is better for a theme park is grossly different. If you grow up on the west, you are subject to favor DLR, and the east to favor WDW, respectively. With that predetermined tip of the scale, it is easy to find fault in the other or be frustrated when the other location is different from the closer one which you have grown up with. If you really want to see a difference though, try visiting Disneyland Tokyo, it is not even owned by The Walt Disney Company. There are a lot of things about that park to make cast members at any of the other parks jealous.

THE INFORMATION SUPER TRAFFIC JAM:

Unfortunately, useful information is not the only type of information that has spread like a wild fire during this information revolution. The revolution has given birth to an entirely new global community. The integrity of this community is very questionable. It is one of Internet popular culture. Millions of people all over the world access websites like www.myspace.com or www.youtube.com to watch nothing more than a chipmunk dubbed over in dramatic music. This is proves the title of information revolution to be misleading, it is not all intelligible information that is being shared. This revolution can even prove to be dangerous with access to personal information being easier for thieves to get a hold of. As convenient as it has become to look up common information, the revolution has brought about the deterioration of people's capability to perform proper research for a more specified topic. Most all of the information shared online cannot be validated as a reliable source. Yet, students continue to rely solely on Internet research to complete research papers. These students do not retain the skill of being able to seek out reliable sources from hard copies of books, journals, and articles. Without knowing how to find the facts, it will be dangerously easy for the general populous to be misled and misinformed in the future.

As greater amounts of information are instantly retrievable, has our concentration weakened and our thinking been spread too thin? What do you think has been the impact of the information revolution?

Because creativity always occurs in new and different ways, it is difficult to define; it's hard to classify something new with old labels. If you are interested in creativity, you may wish to take on the task of creatively defining it:

It would seem so terribly redundant to creatively define creativity. With the current billions of people on Earth, as well as those once living, it would be entirely ignorant to think that an idea might be original without further investigation. If one were to come up with what is thought to be a creative idea, it is likely not to be uniquely creative. More so it would likely be a creative idea belonging now to a group of people. In perspective, that bit of creativity will look a lot less creative. So perhaps the existence of true creativity is much more scarce that previously thought.

BRAIN EXERCISE:

Try brainstorming for a solution: Mary is divorced, thirty years old, mother of two sons, ages eleven and twelve. She lives in a three-bedroom apartment in a large city. She works full-time at minimum wage and is in a desperate financial situation, unable to pay the rent, credit card bills, auto payments, insurance, and other usual living expenses. Using brainstorming, come up with as many suggestions as you can to ease Mary's financial problems.

Sometimes the only way to step forward is to take a step back in order to change direction. Using this frame of mind, Mary needs to change her standard of living in order in to improve her current life troubles. For the same price, or cheaper, as a three-bedroom apartment in the city, Mary could get a house in the country. With this relocation a new job would be ideal, preferably one closer to home. To help cut cost of living Mary, and her family, can become much more independent of pricy services that are just common conveniences. Most electrical appliances have mechanical versions that do not require the cost of electricity. What electricity is needed can be aided by the addition of solar power. Turning the home into a miniature farm helps cut the cost of groceries. If there are any excess garden items, they could be sold as goods to also help out with expenses. Of course there are a handful of less ethical solutions as well; marry a wealthier man, claim bankruptcy, or even apply for welfare.

America's emotions...
...Americans are socialized to suppress emotions. Boys are told to be tough and not to cry. They are taught not to talk about their feelings and sensitivities; theses are supposed signs of weakness that are intolerable in the American society. It is no wonder that when these boys grow up and are expected to take on a marital partner they often have difficulty conveying how they feel towards their significant other. In the work place, it seems paradoxical that we are constitutionally granted the freedom of speech but can be disciplined by the employer for speaking how they feel about a coworker if it is negative sentiment.

Pascal's heart...
...Pascal states that the heart has its reasons, which reason knows nothing of. Pascal implies that feeling, emotionally speaking, is the opposition of reason. This statement would align with the theory of all things having an opposite. Without feeling to challenge reason significant truths might have gone undiscovered. Anomalies exist in the universe that defy all reason and at times have only had truth discovered to them after a gut feeling has been followed. Feelings offer a direction for us to point investigations in when reason lands us nowhere but into doubt.

Expanding the mind...

...In order for a brain to operate at its highest potential, it first requires the same basics of human life. The brain needs food nourishment, water, air, and sufficient sleep in order to function properly. In addition to these basics, there are other ways to help the brain expand its running capacity. Neural stimulation can help promote connectivity between neurons leading to quicker thought and better memory. This can be achieved through mind games, brain puzzles, deep thought, and analytical conversation. In order to just increase memory alone there are a variety of tricks: association, repetition, verse, et cetera. As an actor I am often required to memorize copious amounts of lines for a performance. Any one, or a combination, of these methods is used to aid the memorization of the script. Some memories are so advanced that they can outperform today's supercomputers. There is a man deemed the "human Google" because he can recall numerous events occurring on any given day of his life quicker than the Google search engine with amazing accuracy.
