Ugh thank Goddess it's Friday already.

My set has pretty much stalled. It's been stuck at 158 comments for two days. So I don't think it's going anywhere frown Better luck next time, I suppose.

I had a very productive meeting with Logan's teacher yesterday. We came up with a couple of solutions and agreed to keep in constant communication. She had suggested the school psychiatrist come in and observe Logan. She said he *may* have signs of ADD/ADHD so that was one avenue she wanted to evaluate and possibly rule out. I agreed and signed the consent form for that. She also said that she had a behavioral "program" (I can't really think of a better word) to try with Logan to see if that motivates him.

Basically, He starts off the day with 4 brown popsicle sticks and one red. His goal is to have at least 1 brown and 1 red stick at the end of his day. Every time he doesn't listen or behave, he gets one stick taken away. If he meets his "quota", he has an A Day and brings home a yellow paper saying he had a good day. If he doesn't meet his "quota", he gets sent to the ACL room for 20 min and he has a B Day. He would be bringing home the dreaded pink slip. She said that Logan is not defiant where he absolutely refuses to do anything but just that she has to keep repeating herself to get him to do something.

We discussed how he is at home, how he doesn't take his punishments seriously, etc. She said she has seen the same behavioral problems at school. I told her it was one of the things that I feared but I had hoped that with school being a bit more structured, that he would eventually follow through. She said that he does follow through, it just takes him longer to do it. This is why she suspects he may have ADD/ADHD. He can't focus for shit.

However, he did have a good day on Friday. He finished all of his work and did exactly what he was told (except for PE haha) but those days are few. With the new popsicle stick routine, she is going to use the computer to help motivate him at school, too. I told her he loves the computer and in fact, hasn't been on it all week because he's been getting pink slips. Hopefully within the next week or two, Logan will be on his little road to success.

My school, however, was not so fun.

I got this 14 yr old girl as a client. She supposedly wanted highlights. Actually, her MOM wanted her to have highlights. The girl's hair was virgin and she was already damn near platinum blonde (she was about a lvl 8) and some of her hair was blonder than others. I suggested keeping the highlights minimal because of her age and the fact it was her "first time" haha. I did the girl's highlights and just when I was about to blow dry her out, I hear her mom talking to Tiffany who was doing the mom's hair: "I want more highlights in her hair. Oh-And maybe some auburn too." So then her mom tells me this. I go get my instructor and tell her. She goes and talks to the mom "You should have said so when she was doing the highlights to begin with. Now it's going to be a double process and we're going to have to charge you more." The mom wanted it so my instructor blow dryed my client while I had to go mix some more bleach and color. I did the highlights and lowlights, did the hair cut, styled her out, and sent her on her way. She got to my chair at 5:30. Was out the door at 9:10. Would have been done 2 hrs sooner had the mom not been like "Oh but I want her to have this!!" Thankfully, I got tipped decently or I would have been REALLY pissed.

THEN when I walked outside, it looked like a rave party going on with the strobe light lightening. Pouring rain. Not complaining tongue

I couldn't sleep last night. I txted Frankus until like 2:30am. Then all I did was toss and turn after that. I don't think I really got any sleep until after 6am.

Hopefully I will be going out tonight. *crosses fingers* I needs a good break.

My August Self Shot Contest submission One Night is now in MR biggrin
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't think it would be possible but I feel worse today frown I overslept today and John and I only had 10 min to get Logan ready for school. I barely got any sleep last night with the combination of sickness and restlessness.

Today I have a meeting with Logan's teacher after school to discuss what we can do to get Logan to stop acting up in class. He's bringing home pink slips everyday and she told me not only is he disrupting class too much, but he's also not finishing his work.

School was boring last night. I only had one client (a simplest of haircuts) but I did make up my work that I missed from Monday.

I seriously cannot wait for Friday.

PS: I forgot to mention that with all the walking I've done, I've lost (or sweated) enough weight to fit into a pair of pants I didn't fit into before. YAY biggrin

My August Self Shot Contest submission One Night is now in MR!!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
John made it back in one piece last night. He actually arrived about 1 hr early. He said everything went well. We should know within a week or so if he passed the physical portion.

Normally, I am all for storms. I love storms. I get all giddy when I see those darkening rain clouds in the sky. However, I am NOT for being woken up abruptly scared shitless because a sudden lighten bolt hit too close at 3am. I'm seriously surprised the kids slept through it.

And I'm officially sick. My throat is sore so I can't talk for shit frown And I get to go back to school today!!! Won't that be nice trying to talk to the clients in a sexy frog throat sounding kind of way....

My August Self Shot submission One Night is in MR. I wake up to see a nice 113 comments smile Let's continue to "whore" it out biggrin
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
John just landed in DC a little bit ago. He said it was raining in Atlanta.

And the weather here is nice biggrin Cloudy overcast....However.....All three kids plus me are sick frown So I have to call Logan in today...He was sick yesterday too but he still wanted to go to school. Lily and I started getting sick last night. The joy of having 3 germ magnetics lol

So I'm going to let the kids sleep in and maybe all of us will enjoy our one day off. John will be back tonight around 8pm. That's the time his flight is supposed to land. His plane was a but delayed last night so he didn't take off til almost midnight.

DnD was uber fun. I'm about to explain the tagline so pay attention! Except for you DarkRam cuz you were there tongue

My character is a neutral evil rogue elf who is aspiring to be an assassin. DarkRam is a ranger, Mr. Wonderful is also a ranger, Elisia is a bard )and those three are half elves) and John is a half dragon sorcerer. We basically discover this fortress during a full moon which has never been there before. Mr. Wonderful was sent there to find an herb for his father. I was sent there to find some gem for my sugar daddy human lover who is also one of the most notorious assassins.

As we arrived to the fortress, the fog was getting thicker and thicker by the minute, our horses were going crazy, and something was following us. We booked it as fast as we could inside the gates and barricaded them. Right behind us was an army of undead....

We began searching the area only do discover that everything is pretty much abandoned. However, there were undead creatures lurking about. Mr. Wonderful found a nightmare in the stables. We discovered *something* was in the well...And DarkRam brought us over a little "friend". Me, Mr.Wonderful, and Elisia were in a building that had used to be barraks. As I started to lockpick a chest, Mr. Wonderful was caught off guard and bitten in the head by a medium (aka human) sized spider. He was paralyzed. Elisia and I had started fighting the one spider as 2 others showed up along with DarkRam and John. Elisia got one hit in before she was bitten and paralyzed. One of the spiders got a crit on John and he is now missing a foot. He was paralyzed. So know it was me and DarkRam and 3 spiders. The odds were not looking good....

DarkRam got an awesome hit in with his bow on the first spider. I rolled....a natural 20 with my short sword (dual wielding). Crit one! I rolled...a natural 20 with my dagger. Crit two! That spider was dead. Spider #2 came down and started attacking DarkRam and I. He did some damage with his sword and thank god the spider missed both of us. I rolled....a natural 20 with my sword again! Crit three! It only took DarkRam and I a couple of turns to finish that spider off. At this point, we only got a couple of hits into the 3rd spider before it ran away because we just massacred it's buddies.

Hehe Go Team Venture wink

One Night is now in MR!!!

Sunday went pretty well. Frankus got here really, really fast lol We went to Olive Garden to eat and then to Target to browse around. I bought the rest of the Twilight series. He even hung out with most of the DnD group and met DarkRam. Unfortunately, Clinton was late so Frankus didn't get to meet him.

Tonight John is leaving for DC to get his blood work and physical done for the bone marrow. This is to check to make sure his body can handle donating. He won't be back until tomorrow night frown On the plus side, I won't be going to school until Wednesday.

That's about it for now. I'll link the set this afternoon when I get back from fetching Logan from school.

Okay-As much as I love WotLK Beta, people running instances are fucking retarded.

Everyone is a Death Knight right now because the Northrend server is still unstable. So that means no healing class per se. Blood specced DKs act as healers because of their Blood Aura which is currently kind of broken.

I've been in two groups for Ramps. There was no order and of course then the group wipes.

WTF. Did you guys forget how to tank, mark, and strategize? Just because there are 3 or so Blood DKs does not mean the whole group charges in, aggroes whatever, and hopes for the best mad

One of my biggest pet peeve was one of the guys was blowing up bodies inbetween fights instead of using CE (corpse explosion) DURING battles!! WTF???

After running Ramps for an hr and a half (it's only about an hr run if you do it right), I finally finished. I swear I just want to smack people sometimes!

Considering all the negative shit I've been talking about lately, I've neglected the good stuff coming my way.

1) My self shot is due out in less than 4 days!
zoom image

2) Frankus and I are making plans to hang out on Sunday. This time he's coming to my neck of the woods.

3) My AVON is picking up at school again.

4) I got a $10 tip at school today from doing a girl's color.

5) I'm going to my friend Elisia's Slumber Party on Saturday.

6) I think John and I are getting caught up on bills.

7) I'm passed my halfway mark at school!! I have about 700 more hrs to go. Anytime in September or after I'll be taking my first mini-boards.

8) I've been talking to some of the girls at school about Logan. One girl has a soon to be step-son who has the same exact issues that Logan is having at school. She and her fiance took him to the pediatrician to be tested and they were able to give him something to calm him down a bit so he could concentrate. She recommended that I take Logan to go get checked out, especially if it's becoming a serious problem at school. Which it is. The teacher told me today that Logan is really hard to control. He just doesn't want to listen, follow directions, and he's too much to handle. He came home with another orange slip today from PE.

It's been 2 weeks since he has started school. He did better at the beginning before he got used to everything. As soon as I can, I'm going to be making Logan an appointment to make sure he doesn't have any learning disabilities. I would be so relieved if he WAS diagnosed with ADD/ADHD because then we'd know why we're dealing what we are and we can go forward with dealing with it correctly. As much as I don't like the idea of medicating him (I don't even like medicating myself), if it calms him down enough so he's not disruptive in class and causing problems, it is worth checking in to.

Logan didn't bring home any pink slips or orange papers of misbehaviors but he did bring home a paper that offers parenting classes and kid activities. At first, I was kind of insulting considering all the shit he's been bringing home but when John and I looked at it, none of the stuff applied to us. We aren't new parents, we aren't in the military, none of our kids have a disability, we don't have preteens or teens, etc. The classes that Logan COULD go to (little social playgroups) he can't because they're either while he's still in school or while John's working and I'm at school.

Thanks everyone for all of the advice yesterday. I really do appreciate other's inputs. As retarded as this sounds but I did have a dream about the situation last night and I now know what to do.

Nalia came back this morning. She said she had a really good time with her cousin. Julie said that Nalia was the most perfect little angel.

John is flying out to DC on Aug 25th for a physical and more lab work. This is basically to determine if his body is in good enough shape to donate the bone marrow. He will be back on the 26th. I will be taking those days off school. I was originally going to take his birthday off but because of his out of townness-I don't want to miss 3 days of school in one week. I did give school a heads up about me going to DC with John when he goes to donate the bone marrow. I'm providing them paperwork as I go so they know I'm not making this up. They don't need it but I'm doing it to cover my own ass. I'm just hoping we'll be able to figure out what to do with the kids...

Logan came home with the orange paper from PE yesterday because he didn't "freeze on signal". He also came home with a packet of homework to do for the week. This week he's learning the number 1, the color yellow, and the shape squares. Plus he has to practice writing his name. Logan has been writing is name like this:
LoGan

I'm trying to reteach him but he's being stubborn.
John has been dropping him off at school in the morning and I've been picking him up in the afternoon. I told John I'd rather be doing it this way until the weather cools down and I can make both trips. Even walking in the afternoon is killing me with the heat. I'll do my hair before I leave and by the time I get to his school, my roots have curled back up because of sweat frown It's getting time for me to re-relax it again.

I've also just been so tired lately. All I want to do is sleep. And sleep. And sleep some more. I'm hoping it will pass and soon.
