A lot of women on the mirena forums I've found got pregnant within the 1st month after IUD removal. A good majority had some light bleeding for 2-3 days. They called that removal bleeding. I bled for 10 days and it was just like a period except a few days longer. Women who had that called it their actual period.

After my "period" ended, I had some dark discoloration with my discharge (told you TMI suckers). I thought it was the left over blood reacting to some medication I was taking. Found out, some women had that same dark discharge with their regular discharge. Their docs told them it was a sign of ovulation. As soon as John and I started having sex, the dark discharge went away and has never returned.
