We arrived around 9 last night. Didn't get home til around 10. Ate some food and went to bed.

We did get the bill sorted out with the hotel. John told them the bone marrow people were paying for it and they said "Okay!" Then I had a 10 minute conversation with the girl about whether or not my lip piercings hurt because she wanted to get the middle one done lol

The airport was a fucking disaster. It took us an hour to get through security. I couldn't take my one bag as carry on because it had *gasp* more than 3 oz of liquid. So my choices were: throw away all of my personal stuff or pay $15 to check it in on the plane. Fifteen FUCKING dollars!!! So now not only did the airlines jack up their prices on stuff they were currently charging, but now they are charging for services that were previously free.

They made me throw away an unopened can of soda. And two feet away from the security check point was a soda vending maching charging way too much money.

Not to mention the people who thought it was necessary to cut in front of everyone.

Keep in mind-It's been like 6 yrs since I last flew and it was nothing like this. The whole 9-11 scare has gotten worse and worse with each passing year. It's no wonder airlines are losing money. No one wants to travel via plane anymore.

Last year I accidentally transported my pocket knife and a lighter back and forth to the US. It was too deep in my bag, so I forgot it.

But nobody found it. No X-ray ??? The whole security measures are to make people think something is done. The annoying it is, the more "result" is suggested.

Honestly the only things they do more:

a) X-ray shoes
b) search laptops for explosives traces

Nothing more...

Oh well I got a full body search once for free, too bad I was not gay, he was handsome

i cant stand how bad the airlines are now...i fly 4-5 times a year and they just keep getting progressively worse. i get the fact that gas went up and they adjusted to that already but now they keep doing things like this to squeeze every dime out of you. makes me not want to fly anymore and just start driving.

Yeah flying just pisses me off now. I get skeeved out taking my shoes off where all those other bare feet have been going through security. Eww

I feel ya honey. My insulin pump and foot set off the Hickey Hoo at the airport so I got a pat down while being treated like a criminal. Did they say anything about the pack of syringes I had in my bad for emergency insulin situations? NOPE. but my pump and foot were a security risk!??!

Oh wow, yeah. They have really changed over the last 6 years. I should have told you about the fluid thing. What a scam, $15 dollars to check a bag. They do it cause they now they have you by the balls.
