It is still up in the air whether it will be afternoon or evening Saturday (tomorrow) or perhaps more likely afternoon on Monday before I fly out in the evening.

I still feel like reminiscing cryptically and hoping someone else remembers my little anecdote of most un-canadian assholery... so here is a hint. You need to get someone to drop in here who might remembe this where these pictures were taken.
As for recent history, Painted_Wings filled me in on more of the details of what I actually did late last Saturday. I rcalled from the little videos I took how I was yelling at the top of my lungs at my friends including not just my usual flashing, but stumbling onto the House of Ass back porch and lifting my kilt for all and sundry and then not dropping it back down for nearly a full minute when she finally got up to leave saying "Alright... I guess that I had better take him home right now." The hostess' relieved response to her was "Thanks. My hero."
It was not just any beer either, I now recall. It was much PBR mixed with much Jager... which is the precise same recipe that awoke my inner asshole 3 years ago (see above). I'm always a little surprised and amused when I let that happen to me.
Anyhow, enough of that. I have a job to do. rawr_ima_monster was unaware that the text message he sent about 24 hours ago would inspire my self-appointed historian status, but I have to go and chronicle more of the branches in the history of a certain card game...

Just got back from SF tonight and the weekend was fantastic. Great fun with great people and an amazing partner. Over the weekend brains were wounded, hearts were wounded and livers were wounded...but they have healed beautifully and come back stronger than ever, with more experiences, more love and more liquor filling them than before.
Sometimes I feel like one of the luckiest people on the planet.

This is the very same sweetheart from 3 journal posts ago (which for me is over a year). We've been together for over a year and a half now and we just moved into our second apartment together right in the middle of downtown/belltown Seattle. She and I are really happy together, and our happy little family also includes these little super fuzzy wonderful critters too
Some of you here in Seattle have had a chance to meet her briefly once or twice (at Rickshaw Karaoke or a Serenity premiere) and Luminaire, Sydni and Desdenova have spent time hanging out with us. The reason that I decided to do an official introduction was also to share my happy news. She proposed to me and we are having our handfasting next month. For those who don't know handfasting is an old Celtic wedding ritual which, for us, will be a marriage one year at a time. We are going to have a very small gathering of family at a beautiful ocean spot. Then in a month after that we will be off to Burning Man (obsidity I'm sure we'll see you and your young man on the playa).
Yup. Life is good for me.

P.S. Thanks for all the birthday wishes from all my familiar friends here. I'm sorry that I missed Prom this year and didn't get to do my annual catching up with everyone, especially those in LA and SF and elsewhere.
