So. after what i can only describe as the best holiday i have ever had. i find myself back in the boring, lonely routine that is life on the rock.
On my 4th adventure to the state of Maine where i played 7 gigs with the band The Dappered Gents, which involved some awesome feature spots at open mic nights. and the finale playing to 250 people in the upstairs bar of Bull Feeney's. theres something mind blowing about 250 people all singing Under The Bridge by Red Hot Chilli Peppers and I Will Wait by Mumford and Sons along with you when we played them. playing Wizard Staff for new years as well as playing a Gig in the basement of our lead singers sisters house hahah was Epic. Level 13 Wizard. Getting Drunk with awesome friends and just having a great time in America it makes it harder and harder to come home each year i go out there.
but now i find myself having been back a week now. lost, alone and at a point where i really don't know where i want to be, or what i actually want which for me is strange. i have always had a rough outline of what i want from life. and yet at this time i find myself unsure of what it is i actually want anymore well apart from more tattoos hahaha.
A part of my wants to up and go and try something new. but the other part of me wants to find a woman who will put up with me which for me is proving a rather hard mission but i won't get into that.
any way i'm ranting on a bit much for me so i shall leave it at this and try and blog a bit more often when i find something a bit more interesting to say

Hey all.
i haven't blogged in a very long time but i'm currently in Portland, Maine staying with some friends for new years. which is awesome being able to hang and get drunk with friends who i miss and wish i could see so much more.
any way i was challenged by two of my friends to play bass in their band for a few gigs while i was over. this meant me having to learn as many songs off a list of 36 as i could, in a 2 week period before i came out to the states. i managed 26 and the rest i kinda just winged when i got out.
so last night we played our 2nd gig as a band at a place called Bull Feeney's in Portland. it was insane. the place was packed out and everyone was singing and dancing to the tunes we jammed out. covering bands like Mumford and Sons, Sublime, Dispatch, The Lumineers and bands of all sorts of folk and rock styles.
New Years is shaping up to be nothing more then a 2/3 day bender with my friends birthday being the day before NYE so i will most likely blog a but more in the coming days with stories of the drunken adventure.

So the weekend ends and another week begins.
this weekend saw what will most likely be the last time my Deathcore band Elmer Henley will perform again which is sad as it was always my favourite band to be in and it was always an honour to share the stage with my brothers in EH. but like all good things they come to an end and so be it.

i just had my birthday weekend this past weekend and it was a great success in most ways part from one hahahaha. got rather drunk friday ended up in a club dancing like a retard on the podium and i did the same on saturday.
on sunday was Guernseys Annual Vale Earth Fair which just a day of live music on 6 stages and i was playing on the outside stage with my Deathcore band Elmer Henley which ruled but the downside was that after having drank 10-12 pints i found myself stone cold sober
monday saw the arrival of my 24th Birthday so i went to the pub with some friends in the evening and listened to my friend play an acoustic set which was nice
this weekend will see Elmer Henley's last gig as one of the frontmen and the drummer are returning to the UK but it was a good summer for our return.
i guess i should explain. Elmer Henley was my band in 08-09 we did mostly covers of Death Metal/Hardcore metal bands like Emmure, Acacia Strain, Bring Me The Horizon and we wrote a few songs also. we found ourselves becoming really popular amount the Guernsey music scene at time where a gig would be dead for the first few bands and fill up when we played and empty again after. our last gig was at VEF 09 to which we played to 400 people which for a local band that is insane. we split because members moved to the UK to so to uni or what not. this year we reformed for a few gigs first being out Biker Festival called Chaos and we played VEF again and we end with our final gig this saturday with a headlining spot so should be a good one
so yeah i don't normally blog or anything like that so forgive me if i'm doing it wrong
