Last weekend was one of the best weekends I've had in forever! The big SG Halloween party went down in Columbus along with the mid-Ohio con. I got comic books and hot chicks all weekend. What could be better???
Let's start at the beginning....
FRIDAY
Got into Columbus on Friday morning and had an awesome business meeting to kick off my day. It's potentially something that could mean a lot more exposure for my radio show on terrestrial radio so hopefully it pans out. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Went and looked at apartments in Columbus and found a kick ass place in Dublin. The rent is literally $200 less a month than what I pay right now which would be huge for saving some money to be able to do some of the things I can't do right now because I can't ever seem to have any extra money. I'm going to figure out the cost of moving over the next week or so and if it works out, I'll be moving to Columbus next year!
Met up with Tikki on Friday afternoon at the hotel and we ate at a place called BD's which is Mongolian BBQ. OMG it was so freaking good. I'm going to eat there again the next time I go to Columbus, guaranteed!
After that we went down to visit Sunshine at her bar and had a drink, but it was kind of slow so we ended up taking off and headed down to the Surly Girl and met up with Ravioli and her friends. Good times, but we took off kind of early because I was exhausted since I was up since 7am and I was picking up Epiic at the bus station the next morning.
SATURDAY
Epiic ended up not getting in super early so I got to sleep in a bit and then me and Tikki got some breakfast and headed to the Comic Con. The con was cool although pretty small in comparison to some other cons I've been at. I didn't buy much at all outside of a couple comics that I wanted to have signed.
I did get to meet Ethan Van Sciver, who has drawn a ton of comics for Green Lantern (which is my favorite series) and works with Geoff Johns (who is my idol).

And I also got to meet Tony Moore, who draws the covers for "The Walking Dead" and he also drew the first 6 issues of the series.

I'll put the rest of the story from the Comic Con under spoilers since there are so many photos. I must thank Epiic for all the photos. I gave her my camera for the weekend and she kicked ass taking so many pictures!
SATURDAY NIGHT
Saturday night brought the SG Halloween party. I dressed as Jax from Sons of Anarchy and I was kind of worried no one would get the outfit. I couldn't have been more wrong! Of all the Halloween outfits I've done over the years, this one by far got the best reaction. I had at least 10 people stop me to compliment the choice, and even had a bartender buy me and some other bikers in attendance a shot because he loves SOA.
Here's the finished product

Ravioli took a shot of the back of the cut with the actual patch and everything but she hasn't sent it to me yet. When she does I'll make sure to post that as well.
The party itself was too much fun. Epiic even got me to dance, which I promise you never ever happens. I ended up in a big SG sandwich at one point and I then understand why dancing can be fun ![]()
Anyways here are a ton of pics from that as well, again under spoilers.
Overall I had such a great time. I've decided more of these events have to happen. I had so much fun and I can't wait to do it all again soon I hope!
Now back to the real world of work and the MMA events over the next couple of weeks.
I'll be in Detroit starting on Wednesday of next week so if any of my SG peeps are from Michigan hit me up if you want to meet up, or if you want to meet some UFC fighters, I can make sure it happens!
