This Saturday WWC has their biggest show of the year on eve of the biggest show in the pro wrestling business Wrestlemania. I make my DVD debut as the backstage interviewer (for the WWC show, not Wrestlemania) here's a few pics from the last show:

Also here some of my photoshopping handiwork:

This week we raced each other to see who could disassemble and reassemble a desktop the fastest. I got disqualified because I couldn't get the CPU off of the motherboard because some jackass glued the heat sync to it. I must be a complete dork because I can't think of anything more fun and satisfying than taking a computer completely apart (well maybe there's one or two things more fun) This is why I think PCs will always be more popular than MACs. If something is wrong with my server I'll grab my tool kit, count the number of beeps and head to Microcenter for the new component. If my IBOOK goes on the fritz, I take it to the MAC store and pray that one day it will be returned to me. There's always been that DIY mentality to a PC that makes most users think that no matter what happens to the PC they could fix it themselves if they had to. (Which reminds me I need to replace the battery on my cousin's E-machine Sunday)
I decided to finally get my MSCA certification so that I can get a promotion at work, and ultimately a bigger apartment, without a roommate. He's one of my dearest friends, but he'd be an even better one if I didn't have to always clean up after him. I'm also not thrilled that my building is less than 500 feet from my folks house. I used to didn't mind that they could see my parking space and note my comings and goings, but I'm sick of them calling every evening when I get home from work to make a run to the store for them.
I'm also meeting with this model friend of mine for coffee to discuss her posing for a few shots since I decided to finally update my portfolio. Later that day, I meet with a new client to discuss his ideas for the new website he wants me to build him. I'll probably head to CYBERCLASH to take pictures of the festivities.
I also agreed to shoot and produce the behind the scenes documentary for the movie my friend is making in late May. He claims that there's a potential national distributor for it, so someone could actually see my behind the scenes documentary. He's also suckered me into taking a small role in it. I only agreed because the movie features porn stars and zombie luchadors and that always spells quality.

Well there are cold beers to drink and you can't have your second until you finish your first.

How is it possible that I have owned this camera for three days and I've yet to take a single picture with it?

I finished my three hour midterm in about twenty minutes. I take the other more difficult one this coming Wednesday and I figure this one will be much harder.

My new reflector came in today. The talk around the computer lab this week were the 2 gig jumpdrives at Microcenter for $15. That and Kroger had the 10 for $10 special on vitamin water. Next Tuesday, I start working with this cool non-profit that teaches innercity kids how to deejay and produce their music. I'll be lending a hand teaching the kids how to make and edit their own music videos. Their final project will hopefully be a weekly video podcast created and produced by them for them. Who would've thought drunken stumblebum ne'er-do-well like me would be contributing positively to the community and it not be sentenced community service? ARRR!!!

So next week we're taking apart the three broken computers in the lab and figure out if we can salvage enough off of them for at least one working box.

I may try my hand at calling a few matches this coming Friday. It's as a favor for my pal and should be fun since I rarely know what's going to come out of my mouth before I say it and there will be children present. ARRR!!!

Troublemaker Inc. presents:

It's not even close to being done but at least I accomplished something today. As my cousin Ray says, "Big ups to Avondale. Big ups to Tocka. 'Globally dreamin' , locally schemin'."

So that's one way to make an entrance:

I made that the following Sunday afternoon. Shout outs to my boy Tocka for the song underneath.
Happy New Year everybody.

from my short lived advice column:
DEAR DRU: I am in a long-term relationship with a man I was truly in love with at one time. I was reading his e-mail and found several sexually explicit messages he and a co-worker were exchanging.

They talked about getting together once she got over her "girly problems." I confronted him, and he said there was nothing going on. I called her and confronted her and her husband; then the e-mails stopped.

I asked my boyfriend to see a therapist, which he would not do. I went for a couple of sessions myself, but cannot seem to get over this. Then I found more e-mails to other women where he sent pictures of himself and tried to make plans to meet. I confronted him about this also, and he said he was only kidding and it is just harmless flirting.

Our relationship has been very bad since I found out about this behavior. He tells me he loves me, but I don't think I can ever trust him again. I now sleep on the couch because when he is angry, he locks me out of our bedroom.

I have asked him to put our house up for sale so we can move on with our lives, and he refuses. Why would he not want to do this since I obviously do not fulfill his needs? I desperately need advice about whether I should try again or hire an attorney.

I said:

Hire an attorney because this relationship is over. Despite what other so called experts say you can never really regain trust once it has been broken. Your ex is of the mindframe that he's done nothing wrong because nothing physical happened. Yet that's only because you found out. Since he doesn't want to seek counseling and tossed you out of the bedroom then this relationship is officially done. Judging solely from this behavior I also suggest that you go get tested because I doubt this is a one time occurence.

buy conflict free bling (and no that has nothing to do with TI's beef with Yukmouth)

So this weekend was very busy. The Red Hat Society invited my aunt to one of their luncheons and as her new business manager my aunt said that it fell on me to accompany her. She promised that I would be one of the few males in a room full of women. I should have suspected a rat from the start:

(I totally blurred the picture to protect the little old ladies from internet creepies and not just because the camera was a cheap disposable camera, the lighting awful yet I couldn't use the flash as I didn't want to disturb the ladies for fear of being trampled and sometimes I'm a subpar photographer at 9 am with no coffee. biggrin )
oh well at least I got a few numbers.

Of course the ladies were a bit more concerned with these beauties:

I don't have pics from the show later that night because I was running a camera and monitoring the sound board. But it went pretty well even if the promotors were $200 in the whole. I'm shooting a pilot Tuesday night at The Exchange. I have no idea how this is going to go because I wasn't allowed to be apart of creative, but I'm hoping for the best.

Wasted money on this new camera. I say wasted because it's not the one I wanted but I didn't have the patience to wait and save up for it. Business is all about fiscal responsibility and discipline which was never my strong suit. I'll think of it as a stop gap until I can get the camera I want and I'm almost positive it's a tax write off. Here's the first pic I took with it:
