The great thing about going to a birthday party with photographers and models is that sometimes a shot or two happens.


Unfortunately sometimes a park ranger happens as well. Six points for me harrassing the guy all the while knowing that if he bothered to check my camera he'd find evidence of the shenanigans he was summoned about. Yet how can you take a guy on a bicycle seriously?
Also, I found it odd that every single cop in that town was able to get to the beach in minutes when reports of naked people running around came over the dispatch. Thank god my assistant warned us in time, at least the first time. Dave promised to school me on the spots to slip away to so that doesn't happen again.

So I've been in the studio working on a calendar for my good friend the Reverand Arielle. We're going for that retro Betty Page thing and I think we're getting close:

We only have 10 more images to produce so here's hoping we get this mofo finished because I have other projects and a few trips coming up. I suppose it would help if I didn't keep saying yes to models asking to work with me, but god knows I can't say no to shooting.

I'm taking a break from retouching about 1100 images because my laptop is being tempermental as usual. I went and saw Pineapple Express last night in the director's hall. While the movie was great and super funny it wasn't worth the extra money to watch on the nice screen. I wouldn't have done it except that I went to the wrong theatre and subsequently missed watching it with my buddies.

Friday, Aug 22nd, I'm taking work friends to Dave and Busters in Tri-County to help cheer up my fellow co-worker. He's in a bad mood because he's sure that he'll never find that special girl for him. Sadly, we weren't that understanding and I may have helped make it worse. So to put things right, I'm taking him there since he loves videogames and alchohol. His big problem is that he's a hermit and has decided to retreat into videogames and role-playing, which fun as they are, are not the best way to get coupled. So if you're on the market and looking for an eligible male in his early 30's (or hell, willing to give the poor boy a mercy fuck, it probably won't take long) come to Dave and Busters in Tri county and meet Yuri.

The baby oil wrestling show was jack-booted awesome. The highlight of the night was the $5 steak dinner, although the ladies wrestling around in baby oil wasn't bad either. We had to capture this shot on my camera phone because someone didn't buy the right film for the polaroid (I kid you not) Special shoutout to Raven, Reverand Arielle, Sara Pornstar and the other two ladies whose names I can't remember because you guys kicked ass.

That's Yuri at the Cincinnati Roller Girls game with Blu Bayou. The game was also a blast and congrats to the Cincinnati Blacksheep who knocked off the 3rd ranked Carolina Rollergirls. Good times!!!

I shot this a few days ago while everyone was being crazy dramatic. My corporate masters gave me a new laptop that of course doesn't work. Typical.
Well I'm way behind on photoshopping so back to the grind.

I would've updated sooner but the only thing I have to talk about is work and who wants to hear about that? I spend my day making my corporate masters more and more money. I sort of feel like Steppin' Fetchit but bitching about my guilded cage seems obnoxious and self-absorbed at best.
I got kicked out of a crappy show the other weekend because I punched a dude after he grabbed my friend's ass. My friends sometimes forget that while a good size dude, I am remarkably agile for a man my size.
I'm eating more salads now and if I eat my "sensible" dinners without heading down to Hook's Chicken and Fish very often, I'll be slim and trim in no time.
I did a test shoot with this lady for my vintage pin up calendar project. i can't believe how much prep work is involved in this.


We're all trying to do this in our free time so scheduling is a Nightmare on Elm Street, but I'm becoming adept at tapping into that long buried Type-A personality so I'll get it done. Besides, we've got five months, what could possibly go wrong?

My corporate masters think you are stupid. Please prove them wrong.

My supposed friend finally returned my video camera after keeping it for more than a year and having lost the battery. He also kept seven of the nine tapes that were left in there officially making him a complete douche bag.
What sucks most is that I didn't want to loan it to him in the first place and said no because I knew he'd pull somethnig like this. He showed up at my door and left with it and a few games while I had people over and just told me later when I caught him with it. I would send an assassination squad but ninjas are are too precious a commodity to waste on a jack ass.

Also, things are going well and I can be bribed with promise of a dragon roll and veggie pad thai.





Also, I converted to soy milk.

I'm going to go see my friend Jen in The New Stage Collective's production of "Bug" and I'm so excited because there's nothing like the energy of opening night.
They have a three week run and I'm hoping for the best for them because Cincinnati isn't known for progressive theatre unless you count DeJa Vu and Magic City andthose two places have a two drink minimum if you catch my drift
