I had a good New Year's Eve. Probably on eof the best in recent memory because I didn't go out. At all. I can't believe I never thought of that before.

We got some delicious wood-fired pizzas, got drunk, played scrabble, and watched an entire season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", which I now realize is one of the funniest shows of all time.

I'm contemplating school this year again. It's just really hard to find the money. The longer I wait, the farther away it seems.
I think a short, winter road-trip is in order.

Yes! Tonight is Roller Derby night, there are galleries and museums and rock clubs and junk. I mainly stay at home and am boring, but there is a lot going on and tons to do.

Oh yes dear! Click back one entry of mine for my handy review of some very awesome movies I saw in NY. Lots of good stuff and zomg! I'm SO looking forward to the Winslets, although The Reader is sadly gone. frown I hear RR is "fucking beautiful" though. Oh and HAAAAI, yes, she's one of the most gorgeous women alive!

I cannot complain for the moment. How about you, boo?

Oh I think you SHOULD catch The Wrestler now! It is kind of heart warming- more endearing, tender and disarming. I cried twice. Basically the crux of it is it's this washed up, lonely man who is not only trying to make sense of his life, but trying so hard to break from his loneliness. I think you'll love it.

Can you tell it's my pick of 08? Yeah.

I know exactly what you mean about Kaufman with Eternal Sun. That's exactly what I was hoping for, but Jeebus, you need to watch this one a few times. I look forward to seeing it again but it's definitely not a feel good movie.

I guess I've been spoiled with There Will Be Blood and No Country last year and then Blood Diamond and The Departed (although I think you said you didn't like some of those).

Zomg no! I LOVED all of those! Maybe you remember me not liking No Country AT FIRST. It took me another viewing and I was hooked. I really love it.

I think it's hard to get sick in Florida, so I did when I went home for vacation. Just finally kicking it and I hope you do the same. Stay away from that snow!

Oh yes. The film is more "touching" than heartwarming, but more so in the Ennis Delmar way, of having a private look at this larger than life dude....it's something wild.

I too love crying films! tongue Oh yeah. If I ever hear someone cried for something, I have to check it out.

What did you love most about Little Miss Sunshine? That's one of my super-favorites, I never get tired of it. It made me cry the first time....but I love the fact that it was sweet, touching and over the top hilarious at the same time. The Wrestler, btw, will give you that, too. It's got some scenes that are screaming laughing.

I know why you're sicker there than TX...the damn bitter weather. Of course. Do you bundle up for work?

I forgot about Winona...how we used to love her....so sad that she hasn't been around and is like, lastingly known as a shoplifter. She's so gorgeous, I always love her hair and style.

I'm a big fan of Sunny. I just wish I could manage to see it on a regular basis. I seem to be always catching up.

I never go out on New Year's. I'm not a big fan of being out when lots of other people are out.

Happy belated birthday, hope it was a good one.

You're a man, you're not supposed to like SATC. Is my Dukes of Hazard fellow still on Smallville? I used to love to look at Superman's gorgeous body. Heavens to Betsy!

The Courtney Love thing sucked. They asked me what I thought of the current issue which was the "sleaze issue" and they had CL on their list for reasons I don't recall. I told them I was glad they "blackballed" her BUT in the same sentence I said "for selling her husband's journals." I found that offensive at the time. They didn't include that and my page just says "I'm glad you blackballed CL." Very ugly.

Like I said, yeah, bummer. Thistle says she's noticed they've slagged CL many times before. She just gets slagged so much that I've lost track.

Bo! Yes that's him. What a gorgoeus man he stil is. biggrin
