Oh how hard it is to update you, journal.

Last weekend we took a tour of the Summit brewery in St Paul. I had never been. It was slightly disapointing. It was very brief and chocked full of white hats who were just there for the beer, but none the less fairly cool. Certainly better than anything else I would be doing at 10:30 on a Saturday morn (ie: sleeping, watching Hannah Montanna re-runs etc)

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Neat

We didn't have much time to take pictures during the tour so there aren't many. the sheer size of some of the fermentors is pretty amazing.

Trying to look for a new place to live, too. Rent is fairly expensive up here. That just means it'll take longer. What I really want is a goddmaned house. But hell, me? I'm just waiting for Journey to the Center of the Earth to finally come out

In the meantime I'm listening to "Airbourne" (true story) and trying to decide if they suck or not. It really could go either way at this point

More later!

thanks!

I use a canon powershot sd1000.

a very cheap basic digital point and shoot.

it has all the features I need, and I bought it after shopping around online for $135.

I'm a big believer in using the cheapest possible stuff (within reason), to get the best possible pictures. biggrin

Well you just haven't lived until you go through a week of sub-zero to fifty degree weather and back again.
It's Winter. It's over. Nope, it's back again...
What could top that?

Today though does feel pretty much like July so that at least is something.
Rain tomorrow... blackeyed

The only one I have not read yet is The Informers, which I believe is a collection of short stories. I think AmerPsych is his best. From there, in my opinion:

The Rules of Attraction
Glamorama
Lunar Park
Less Than Zero.

biggrin Let me know how you do! I just picked up a bunch of new books myself, currently starting Pamela Des Barres' second gem. smile

You may be right b/c 2 of them are over 400 pages. I believe AP is as well. LTZ & ROT are shorter at about 200+.

I wish I had a bookstore hookup. But I did find a semi local used place and it's bliss. Otherwise I rely on checking my Amazon wishlist to check in on used prices. I'm a bargain lover.

I actually had a fight over bagels last night. My mother insists there "ARE NONE" in this whole state.

Anyway, #11 is the one most people commendted on too!

Chappelle apparently retired. I think it's a disgrace. He's apparently had enough of Hollywood hypocrisy...I am still in mourning.

BIking on your side of the river is kind of a pain. Not a lot of paths, at least not that I have found. Although bikes can use that road that is only for U of M buses. I can't remember what it's called. On the Minneapolis side there are a lot more trails that you can use to avoid street riding. I can take a trail here in Hopkins all the way to the river road in Minneapolis, crossing traffic only a few times. I actually find the bike to be less of a hassle when it comes to dealing with traffic. I can avoid most of it by taking trails or side roads.

Good luck with looking for a new place. What areas are you looking in?

Yeah, we moved here from the Camden are of north Minneapolis a little over a year ago. Overall I like it, but I would prefer to be closer to the city.

I used to ride all the way from Hopkins to the Energy park area of St. Paul 3-5 times a week, but now that I am working at home again I rarely ride in to the city. When I do it is usually just to the uptown area which really isn't that far.

Snelling can be a pain. I tried to avoid it when I could. Although when I went to Hamline (almost 20 years ago) I rode down snelling for a few miles everyday. Wasn't quite as busy back then though.

I have not seen it yet. I promised Strega I would see it with her and we have not managed to fit it around her busy schedule yet. I have a feeling we may end up seeing it on video. tongue

Are you saying you're looking forward to breeding? Maybe I misread that.

I too am am shocked that Chappelle has been sticking to his word. Stranger things have happened and I do hope he'll make a comeback.

Eddie Murphy had included fucked up baby names in his stand up in his glory days. He accused black women of seriously just looking at a box of cereal and naming their kids after it. It was amazing; my description is shit.

How's the weather over there? (don't I always ask that tongue )
