So hey, new job is going well, keeping me extremely busy. Had to miss a lot of the local Chicago group meetings and hopefully that will change soon once the new job stuff slows down.

So, I start my new job this Friday. I can not wait. I am very nervous, but in a good way. This job will be a true test of my skills and knowledge, but I am looking forwards to it quite bit!

I forgot to mention, my mom has been home from the hospital almost a week now (1 week from tomorrow), and while she is slowly getting better, there have been set backs. She was in the hospital 2 days ago for dehydration, and she has not been eating very much. It is a side-effect of the antibiotics she is on, but what has me worried is that she is feeling depressed. We know why she feels depressed, it is because she can not do anything for herself yet, or at least very little anyways, but still, it would be nice if she would just get better

So Extra Strength Vicodin has kept the pain away. I am needing less and less of it each day, which is good! I am now preparing for my new job (which starts on Friday) and my trip to California for training! 1 week in San Mateo California sounds like fun to me, even though it will be a lot of hard work, I am looking forward to it

Ok, so oral surgery is done, and while it did not hurt then, I am finding myself in more and more discomfort. Ouch is a term I am not enjoying.

Well tomorrow I undergo oral surgery. I hate the dentist. I need an implant and tomorrow is the first in a 2 part surgery (the second will be in 6 months). I am not looking forward to this at all, except that this whole ordel started in July, 2007 when my tooth cracked.

Wow, I came home today and found a very nice gift basket from my new job, wines, cheese, salami, crackers, mustard and other such goodies from Napa Valley! That was very nice of them

Well, I got the job I wanted. The official offer came today, and tomorrow I finalize all the details with my future boss' boss! I am so damn relieved and happy!

Well, after waiting a whole week to hear whether or not I got the job, I heard a little something. After talking it over they like me a lot, now they just have to call my references (which they said they were going to do today but then they said Monday).

So, now I get to wait a whole 3 more gut wrenching days to find out what I hope to be good news!

On another note, my mom is in the Hospital . She had an epidural for her back problems, and then 2 weeks later back surgery. After the surgery she was in immense pain and they then found that the epidural tore a sac in her back that holds spinal fluid. The fluid is now infected and she has Spinal Meningitis. So she is in the hospital for the next week or so with a spinal tap in her back. OUCH.

Cross your fingers for me please. I just finished my third interview with a company in the northern suburbs (Deerfield) and I am waiting to hear whether or not I got the job. Man my nerves are going nuts!
