I got tattooed today. This was not something I had planned.
My cousin Amy's guitarist texted her to let her know he thought that things weren't working out with the band and that they should go their separate ways. With an added "don't text me back" for emphasis. Being that music is her life she was pretty damn distraught about this. Said it was worse than when most of her former boyfriends broke up with her. And that she needed to get a tattoo to make herself feel better.
I wanted to go to Mrs_Misha (sorry sweetie, I promise I'll get my next one from you), but Amy wanted to go TONIGHT. Which was around 10pm. So we ended up going to a shop called the Purple Panther somewhere in Hollywood.
Amy got a bass clef between her shoulder blades. I decided to wait to do the larger pieces I've been wanting until I can make an appointment with Misha.
So I got this:
The responses I am getting thus far range between "so cool! and "huh?"
My bffl Lia's birthday party was this weekend. I was official camera girl. I ended up taking 480 pictures. Some were typical party pics, and in some I got a little artsy. I had fun.

I played with my zoom lens for the first time, and took a bunch of pictures of Lia before the party started. This is her new favorite picture of herself.
The cute half-Jewish Ukrainian boy is a little bit of a pyromaniac.

Obviously I did not take this picture. Cute half-jewish Ukrainian boy likes to steal my camera and take pictures of me. Thus any pictures with me = taken by him.
I started taking pictures of people being projected upon and got kind of obsessed. It is awesome.
Like this picture, where my chest says "collection" on it, and you can vaguely make out the rest of me.
It starts out vaguely innocent...
Then moves into "ohmygosh what is he going to do to me?!"
Then dirty old men (relatively speaking) (relative on the old, definitely on the dirty) dip and kiss my cousin. She will never be the same.
But it's okay, because I got awesome "being projected upon" pictures of her.
I almost wish I had brought my tripod with me. I could have gotten even better projector pictures.

Damn hippies and their overreacting to stuff. 
Any party where you can be both artsy and fun is a pretty damn good party indeed.
