i'm in Quinton's barracks room right now. he's still sleeping and it's past 10. i didn't know that marines could sleep in. anyway, the weather is good down here. a lot better than in modesto. it is a bit humid though.

i suppose i was too quick to judge about stepahnie's roommates. Jamie ended up being really cool. she was very friendly the last 2 days and told me to come back anytime. i think i'll have to take her up on that sometime. Stephanie's boyfriend is still a douchebag though.

today i guess Quinton and I are going to try and go see A Scanner Darkly. i really want to see it, but it's not playing anywhere near modesto, so this is the perfect place to see it. i've already driven over 500 miles on my trip and i don't come home till wednesday. damn the $3 + a gallon for gas.

i went out to the Pirate bar last night with Quinton and Jeremiah. it was alright. we all ended up getting really tired and called it a night by 11pm. alright, it's time for me to get movin. catch y'all later.

So, here I find myself in Orange, California. I'm in Stephanie's store right now and they're playing that ending song from the Breakfast Club. You know the one… "Don't you forget about me," or something of that nature. I woke up slightly stiff from the bed that I'm not used to. The weather isn't too bad and the people just seem different here. Not too different though. I met Stephanie's boyfriend Travis and some of his friends last night. He's kind of a douchebag. That may even be an understatement. He's just a kid trying to impress everyone and look cool. He's constantly driving like a jackass and putting down some of his friends in front of a group of people. Needless to say, I don't think very highly of him.

Stephanie's roommate wasn't overly friendly. She barely said "hi" to me when I showed up yesterday. I felt strange about being left alone at the house while Stephanie had to go to work. I suppose Jamie was still in her room when I was getting up and taking a shower because she was nowhere to be found. I am back at Stephanie's store right now after having lunch with her. She's not off for another 2 hours, so I'm just killing time. Her co-workers seem nice enough. I'm not exactly sure what we'll be doing today when she gets off work. It's kinda nice to be away from everything and left alone with my thoughts.

I'll be heading down to Camp Pendelton tomorrow afternoon to see Quinton. I have been told that there will be some hardcore partying going on because a few Marines from McCullough's company all turned 21 recently. We might be going to the pirate bar or somewhere else tomorrow night. I'm not quite sure. I'm sure a good time will be had by all. I'm gonna resize some pics so that I can post them. Until later….

so, i bought something cool today. it is something so super cool and amazing.

nope, not the car. i bought TIRES! YESSSS!!!!!111!!!11one1!!
so, i'm really not excited that i bought tires. i spent $265 today that i didn't want to. i kept getting a flat though, and all of my tires were getting close to bald. i suppose it's better that i bought them now, but i spent my trip money on them. i guess this means that i won't die when driving down to LA and San Diego. i just need to be very thrifty on my trip now. at least i get paid on friday and i have direct deposit. i'll be leaving on wednesday morning for all of you who didn't know. i can't wait to see my friends in socal. again, if any cool people in SG land wanna hang out hit me up. i'm taking my laptop so i'll have access to this site the whole time i'm down there.

on another note. i'm trying to decide if i should buy a new processor and RAM for my computer. since getting promoted and all i'll have a little bit more cashflow and i kinda wanna spoil myself. i'd be looking at spending another $300 to $500. it's all on credit though. hehe. i'm not sure if i'll be able to stop myself from getting them, but maybe i can hold out through the night. we'll see.

also, one of my friends is having a problem with her fiance. no, not you katy. my friend Meg's fiance Andrew is not wanting her to wear her ring anymore and doesn't know if he wants to be engaged now. i feel really bad for her cause i've been there. i had a good talk with her today and i hope she feels a little better about stuff. my friend bonnie has a crappy boyfriend too. my female friends need to wisen up. anyway, this is long enough. i leave you all with some pictures.

OMG. my air conditioning is out at home. it is over 100 degrees in my house. i'll update with more later tonight. i hope our AC gets fixed. there are 2 guys here to fix it right now.

update: so, it's officially broken. the air conditioning unit is dead. it'll be monday or tuesday before it gets replaced. i'm at my boss' house right now. she and her boyfriend invited me to stay the night on the couch. i really wish i didn't have to work tomorrow. i have to be there at 9:45am. not too bad i suppose.

i stood in my driveway for the majority of the evening with a beer and a hose to cool myself down. i stood around in my a-shirt and my guinness swim shorts. real classy. anyway, i guess this will be it for now. anyone wanna let me shack up sunday night? haha. catch everyone later.

thanks to everyone for the congrats on my promotion. i do really appreciate it. i start as the assistant manager of a brand new starbucks at the end of August. i can't wait. so, last night i was celebrating my good news by drinking at the pub with my friends. i got absolutely trashed. like, not good trashed. bad trashed. i decided it would be a good idea to have a pitcher of Kilt Lifter to myself while on an empty stocmach. then after i killed my pitcher, i saw an abandoned half-full pitcher on another table. i grabbed that and killed that pitcher too. that wasn't exactly the smartest thing i've done in a while. i hadn't been that drunk in public since i was in Germany 4 years ago. i can only really remember the beginning half of the night. i do, however, remember being carried out of the bathroom to my friend's car to be taken home. i spent the night on the bathroom floor and woke up sometime around 7am. at least i made a new buddy named Lance last night. he likes the same video games as me, and we got a group of people to play Full House Trivia. it was good fun. also, i guess while i was passed out in my bathroom at home, one of my buddies passed out at Denny's with my other friends. he was sitting up in the booth and passed out right after ordering his food. i hope that someone is cracking a smile right now from my drunken tale.

Promotion! WooHoo!

well well well. where do i begin? i have been pretty busy recently. i went up to spend some time in sacramento with programer. i had an awesome time. i can't wait to go back up and see her again.

i am unfortunately starting to feel sick again. i don't know why this is. i'm drinking green tea like crazy right now hoping that it will do something for me. i really can't afford to be sick again. i have too much to do to be sick.

i have been taking more pics recently and playing with photoshop because my internet was down for a little over 24 hours. i contemplated suicide. lol. i also played a LOT of Guitar Hero. i'm up to an average of 2 hours a day. i don't know what is up with me recently. i usually don't play video games this much, but it is just so much fun. my friends and i are going to make a movie that has to do with guitar hero. i won't go into too much detail yet. it should be cool though. we won't be done for quite some time, but hopefully it'll be finished by the time Guitar Hero 2 comes out.

i suppose that's all for this update. i'm on my lunch break at work right now. you should all listen to DragonForce. it'll make you a better person. Henson out!

well, i'm still not smoking. i even took smoking off my vices here on the site. i also removed that from my myspace. it's been kinda strange not smoking. i still expect to go outside and have a cigarette on my breaks at work. it's kinda funny. i even have a half pack of Lucky Strikes in front of me right now. it's cool and strange that i don't want them. maybe i should change my name here again.

anyway, i took some portraits of my friend Heather yesterday. it was a good time. i hope to keep moving forward with this stuff. photography makes me a happy panda. i really hope i hear more about my promotion next week. the anticipation is killing me. i think it'd be cool to work in another city. maybe i'll move. oh the joys of moving on with life. i guess i'm done for now. maybe i'll watch some more Band of Brothers. hit me up on AIM if anyone feels like chatting with me. ciao!

well, i don't have any really exciting news to share. i just felt like writing in here. hopefully i'm on the verge of promotion. i went and talked with my district manager yesterday. we had a 30 minute conversation and i think it went well. i told him i'd be willing to work in another district. i could possibly end up in Stockton, Manteca, Riverbank, Lathrop, or Tracy. we'll see how it goes. i could also just stay in Modesto. promotions FTW. i'm still looking forward to my trip down south. i suppose that's it for now. i hope everyone has a good Independence Day.
