In short.
It WAS a great show. I have some of the greatest friends ever and a blast was had by ALL smile

Last night we got to play Trivial Pursuit multiple times. And I did so, lost every time, and still maintained my wits about me. Which, if you know me at all, does NOT happen. I does have too much competitiveness! I was also made aware of the greatest invention, ever. An electrically charged tennis racket! That may not SOUND cool, but trust me...when the house flies and fruit flies are dancing around and it becomes your responsibility to take them out with your handy, dandy, portable bug zapper...INSTANT fun in a racket!

I want one.
Right now.

Happy Saturday to all.
I hope your night is going to be as incredible as ours is biggrin

I love this place smile
A lot.

Who cares if I don't have a job?
I mean, besides my mother who is FREAKING out about the economy. It's only money. It only pays for my rent/food/BEER!

Meh.
I'm just going to become independently wealthy. If one of my parents or grandparents would die, that would help. Just kidding. But it WOULD bring me a lot of money.

I think I'm going to start my own business. I've got several options and am going to exploit the hell out of them soon.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one going through all this shit though. I have friends all over the country feeling the pangs of a shitty economy. Good thing they're only going to print more money off to pay for the $700 BILLION bailout. Good thing we have debit cards and we won't have to be porting our worthless money around in wheelbarrows.

Fucking politics.
Fuck McCain AND Obama. Yeah. I said it. Even in Oregon.
Neither have any sort of economy reform that is going to do a rat's ass worth of good.
My vote goes to Nader 2008.

VIVA LA REVULUCION!!
Bitches.

I get to go watch a SICK concert this weekend with some of my bestest friends.
SweatshopUnion. Haven't heard of them? Go listen. Right. NOW.
Sweatshop Union's MySpace

I've been hitting the gym HARD for the past two weeks. Getting in at 5:00am, when the doors open, and not leaving until 8:00 confused I am going to be Barbie again, in no time, at this rate! Which is awesome, because I have a lot of people who want to shoot with me. Both for SG and for their own ports (off of ModelMayhem). I can't wait to shoot more. A lot more smile

Anyway...
Hope this finds you all well!

I'll leave you a few pictures just for pretties!

I feel like I've dropped off the face of the SG-earth!
I've been so busy trying to find a job (yes we've been here almost two months now) and getting settled into the apartment and new town, that I've not been on a whole lot. I haven't even perused the groups, which I used to love to do, so much.

Things here are fine, for the most part.

I learned the true characters of my 'in-laws' (for a lack of a better term) from a lot of other sources. It cut me to the quick. I wish I didn't care. That coupled with the difficulty on acquiring work here, has been getting me down. I went back north for a wedding at the beginning of last month and that was just more sad news. Found out I'd been demoted from the Maid of Honor, to just a maid and she hardly talked to me the whole time.

We've been meeting people here, thankfully! Went to a rave and had a BLAST. Went camping and ate too much of a mind altering drug and had my mind, definitely altered. I've never been so scared in my life! It wasn't my first trip...but the first time taking this much and I was literally stuck in hell.

I have an interview for an administrative coordinator for the University's Catering department tomorrow. This is the 8th application I submitted, and interviews are very hard to get, so wish me luck! I've found out in this town, that the bus boys all have their bachelors degree and all the servers have their doctorate. I'm not kidding either! Hell, our landscaper that's making maybe $12/hr has his doctorate in biochemical engineering! I applied and interviewed for an bakery sales clerk in the grocery store here, and didn't even get that! I feel worthless ;(

I love the town otherwise though smile
It's gorgeous, the grocery stores are gourmet, our apartment is in a phenomenal location AND has a pool! A few of my bestest girlfriends are coming down at the end of the month, and my mom is working on squeezing in a trip too.

I've had several people want to shoot with me, so as soon as I feel good about my body again (we are biking our asses off here) you can expect a new set or two from me biggrin

Hope you're all doing well. Hopefully I'll have pictures soon!
XOXOXOX

Well that didn't go as well as I'd have liked...
Only had one person even offered to buy prints, and even that hasn't come to fruition. Guess my art sucks biggrin

Anyway...went to find a new place to live. Having a dog seriously complicates things.

My birthday is next week and I'm finding it hard to be excited.
My best friend is throwing a huge Grecian themed party and it should be a blast...my birthdays are usually just coupled with so much negativity, I don't typically welcome them.

Anyway...
I hope that you are all doing well.
XOXO

Thank you to all of you for your sweet words of encouragement! They were all VERY appreciated.

I'm doing a preliminary run at prints.
On top of the prints I am showing here, you can always request a print from any of the shots from:
Bathing Beauty
Lady by the Lake
No Swimming
Ivory Indian

I will be offering the prints in a standard, 8 x 10's, but special requests will ALWAYS be entertained.
I'm going to charge $25 for one or $40 for two. I'll charge a standard $6 shipping, and won't request an additional fee should you order more than one print. I prefer all payments to be done through paypal.

In addition to these prints I am considering selling a coffee table book I made. It's approximately 75 pages and it features my graphic art shots (8.5" x 11") accompanied by my own original words and a page that compliments the piece. It cost me well over $200 to make it, not to mention over 100+ hours to assemble it. Therefore, I will only let it go for a steep price. Figured I'd throw it out there, none the less. So...make me an offer!

I will featuring a few prints (to be disclosed later) that will be, one time only, releases. They will be 11" x 17" and (along with all of the other pieces) will be signed. Keep an eye out for those...they are some of my personal favorites smile

I thank you from the BOTTOM of my heart for even looking at my offerings. I am in a very unhealthy environment here and have to get out. As you know, the recent death of my car's engine, has burdened me with a very sizable debt...If you can't help, I love you just the same. To those that can and will help...I am indebted to you! I promise that once I get to Oregon, lose some weight (to get back to where I was before the stress commenced to epoch levels) I'll find a photographer and shoot some GORGEOUS sets biggrin

Peace and LOVE to all of you!
XOXO

Oregon...here we DON'T come.

What an, 'INTERESTING' weekend.
Everyday, things have gone from bad to worse. We took two wrong turns (one more drastic than the other). Anyway...two hours after we thought we were on the right direction I start saying, "I don't remember seeing all these trees. Where are we?" Turns out we were on 82 and I comment that we need to be on 84. I look down at my speedometer and several lights go on...the engine totally cuts out...I'm going 70 and trying to pass a semi...then I am stranded on the side of the road.

So...we were stuck in Yakima...a town that has three statewide tournaments: girls' softball, boys' baseball and volleyball. So...it's 9:00pm, the ONLY room left in the whole town is in a seedy little hotel that rents by the hour and it's a holiday weekend so we don't know who can work on the car. Thankfully the undercover cop got us an awesome towing company that has their own in house mechanic.

In the morning we find out it was the timing chain.
When it busted, because I was going so fast, it warped all the heads of the engine.
Means new engine frown

Due to the fact that it's the 1.8 Turbo VW engine, it's extremely hard to get. Read: there's only one in the whole state and it's $2,800. HOLY SHIT! So we opted out of that route. Rather, they're going to rebuild the heads and we'll go from there (which is still going to be right around $3,000, once it's all said and done). Remember the town is packed, so it was nearly impossible to find a rental car and there were NONE that would do a one way rental. Of course. Now how the hell do we get HOME!?

Thankfully, the owner of the tow truck company lent us one of their cars at $30/day and (with a few minor set backs) we were on our way home, as we were out too much money, we didn't want to venture on to our new home frown

So...needless to say...I'm going to be putting together as much of my art, photography and sets to sell prints of. PLEASE keep an eye out for that and help a DESPERATE girl out, who's in much need.

I hope all of YOU had better Memorial Day weekends than I.

OREGON HERE WE COME.
Again smile

I was just there about a month and a half ago and we're going again, in order to nail down an apartment and all of that stuff.

AWESOME.
I hope you all have a safe and fun Memorial Day too! Hope it's not flooding in epic levels, like it is here.

Limewire and I are working on updating my iPod.
What are your recommendations?

On a separate note...is it July yet?
That's our move date.

We're going next weekend (Memorial Day) to look at the town and have fun smile

New pictures...

So...we're not selling the house.
Instead we're keeping it as a rental.

We'll be in Eugene as of the first.
WORST case scenario will put us there as of July 1st.

Anyone from Eugene reading this?
Let's play...I'll 'let' you show me the town biggrin
