So much to say that it is not even worth going into all of it at this point. Ups and downs, ups and downs. Less than a month untIl I get my Bar results and I already have about 8 people queuing up to hire me for small IP related jobs. Seriously considering forming an LLC once I pass and going solo, although that is a huge fucking risk at this point given the economy etc.
Still haven't gotten around to buying a camera for my upcoming trip to Paris. I really should get one ASAP so that I can play around with it before I cross The Pond. Came home from seeing two different photography exhibits at the SFMOMA today; simultaneously motivated and intimidated. Also, thanks again to those people who chimed in on point-and-shoot recommendations.

Hey all, I need recommendations for "point-and-shoot" cameras. The balance is lightweight vs. good quality. I used to shoot with a Sony Steady-Shot (TM) until it was stolen in a burglary. I was pretty happy with that except for the limited optical zoom. Any suggestions?

Good news: I've picked up one, very small, legal type job which should help cover some of the costs my lifestyle is incurring these days. I am also poised to send off my resume for a non-paying gig. I know, no money is lame, but it would give me great experience in both the IP and mediation settings. My two passions at law.

I'm a little pissed* at the moment. That's to be expected after a beer and two vodka lemonades considering I only weigh in at 40lb when severely wet. We'll see if the comments still feel fitting in the morning. I am for the first time in a long time finding this site a little disappointing. It's not the usual complaint directed at the administration, but rather at many of the members who I have recently observed on the boards. I guess there is a reason that I typically avoid them. With the exception of about two SGs, I feel like I've made all of the personal connections I care too. What is keeping me here?

Wow, that was an old post. Not much to say at the moment except for the observation that life these days has been pleasantly life-like.
I'm doing a minor remodel/furniture shuffle in my room over the next couple of days. I'm stoked. Organizing makes me very happy.

Let me first start off by saying to all of you hailing from LA area. I hope you are all surviving the madness down there fire wise. My thoughts are with you.
For those of you playing along at home, you may remember that yesterday I was scheduled to go to the last day of Outside Lands Music festival in SF thanks to a birthday present from "the girl". I did, but for various reasons we got in pretty late and left before the final act. Also, a friend of hers joined us for the duration. Needless to say, the day wasn't exactly what I had imagined it was going to be. It could have totally sucked when you factored in the classic Bay Area foggy/freezing summer weather that had brought an abrupt end to the heatwave we had been having up until then. None-the-less, I had a great time. Modest Mouse was good fun, and M.I.A. killed on the main stage, and "she" and I always seem to have a blast.
After a good day of joking, snuggling, flirting generally, and making plans for three other "dates" in the next two weeks she asks me for advice about this guy she is dating. "I really think this guy could be the one". That was about five minutes before we got to her car, and she gave me back my hoodie which she had been wearing all day. Of which she had said earlier: "It's like I'm wearing your letterman jacket." This coming from a former High School andCollege cheerleader. Mixed messages much? FML.
Seriously, I know this is incredibly trivial compared to other things going on in the world, and with my friends right now, but it was definitely a bit of a shock to hear about this new guy that she is so serious about. I really have no idea how I ended up in the "friendzone" this time. So, at the risk of repeating myself, FML.
