My dad is a homophobe and I dont know what I should do.

Is there anyone who has a close relationship with someone that they love but they also hate that person at the same time because of their beliefs or morals or whatever? What do you do?

There was a girl in my philosophy course who told the class about her brother who basically raised her and treats her with love and kindness but he is a nazi. She hates him because of that but she loves him too. At the time that she was telling the class about that I was so confused about her situation and didnt realize that I was in a very similiar predicamint...maybe I just didnt want to admit it to myself. Is this a completely unique situation or is it common and no one talks about it.

I wish I could say something so enlightening that my dad would snap out of it and realize that a person's sexual orientation has nothing to do with the type of person you are. And he would say 'You are soo right! I dont know why I have been so ignorant for all these years!!'

Omigod! Moving is such a huge pain in the ass!! How is it possible to not only accumulate soo much shit but on top of that, manage to thoroughly dirtify (dirt and dog hair embedded deep in every surface and corner possible) the whole place in just seven months!!!!!!???? Ive been cleaning and packing since Tuesday and the place still looks cluttered...probably cause of the mass amounts of boxes everywhere

I do this all while my boyfriend is in New York...I shouldve gone but we had too much stuff to do and someone had to do it! (we have two dogs that we couldnt afford to board due to moving costs) At first I thought I was being all responisble but now im just getting increasingly bitter and exhausted...

Oh well, I am sooo excited about the new house! It has a large organic garden in the front yard and a huge fenced in back yard for the dogs surrounded by bamboo with a firepit and tree with a tire swing!!!!!!!! Oh and a fireplace...I like fire

Has anybody heard of this story about the cops stealing food and water from the hurricane survivors?



Ok so my plan is that I am moving soon to a house with a yard, which means I can have a yard sale and trust me I have a lot of shit to sell. I havent really had money to donate to the survivors of the hurricane so I want to donate everything I make from the sale. Where should I give it to and how do I know if it will go straight to the survivors? Im just so sceptical of everything these days!!
