I found a completely internet based Biology class to satisfy my last Natural Science (and degree) requirement before I do my Summer Internship!

Other good news, 2 classes are done w/bc NO FINAL... so just 2 of them Mon and then I'm done w/school nearly except these last 2 things (science and the internship), I am SOOOOO CLOSE!!

WELL WELL I couldn't sleep so I decided to play around with the camera today! I didn't exactly have amazing quality (since this camera isn't professional) but I think the set turned out pretty fun and some of the shots seemed good... I'll upload them in a day or two and see how they turned out.

My goal is to shoot a set every week or so.... self-shot sets are really hard to do so I want to practice alot and maybe i'll stumble on a lucky streak and get something awesome? Wish me luck!

Since things are a little hectic and meeting my photographer anytime soon seems unlikely,
I have decided to dabble in the Self-Shot game.... I played around a bit today to get used to the camera timing and such, so hopefully soon enough i'll get something good enough to say "I shot myself-- and I liked it"

My car has several bumper stickers that are all pretty tongue-in-cheek, but the one that always gets comments is this one! SEVERAL guys have actually asked me, "What's with that fish sticker.... ARE YOU A FEMINIST?" *GASP* Yea my sticker makes fun of the old saying about women needing men like fish need water. Somehow this seems shocking to certain guys that I believe "A woman doesn't need to have a man to be complete."

I'm >>not<< knocking women who enjoy the more traditional domestic lifestyle revolving children and marriage, but I fully embrace that there are other ways women can live and still be fulfilled. Happiness comes from being satisfied with yourself, and letting others enrich that. You shouldn't need someone else to "complete you" to the extent that you can't be happy out of a relationship.

DERIE CHERIE...."What's in a name? That which we call a rose; By any other name would smell as sweet," Shakespeare once wrote..... That *may* be TRUE, since names really don't dictate the person, but when given the opportunity to pick a name I wanted to make it both pretty & meaningful.

Derie?

Ginger is my nickname among my friends since I'm such a proud redhead, but it's a pretty popular name so I wanted to find something more unique ... I decided to search Irish names and found a ton all meaning "Redhead." Out of the list, Derie just really stuck out to me as being a really unique and sweet sounding.
(To my thinking, it sounds like very so try to keep that in mind when you say it.)

My hair is coppery or auburn red so it comes off as brunette in poor lighting... I love natural light that makes my hair fiery looking

Cherie just sounded really aesthetic next to Derie, and it's a French word meaning "Dear one" or "Darling." Darling was a favourite pet name of mine for a while after I had this huge Audrey Hepburn streak, so it's a bit special to me.
