Gah. It's morning and I've got that mouth-stuff that people daren't mention - like going to the toilet in a movie, it be.

I think I owe somebody 20 Things About Me that nobody else knew. I'm sure she's lovely, or I wouldn't have remembered. That's not strictly true, but I'm fucked if I'll find any other way to work in a veiled compliment this early in the day. The list will grow as I think of more stuff.

1) I have a phobia of balloons. It seems not to apply when they're the helium filled kind.

2) I like to sleep in the car on the way home, because it reminds me of when I was little.

3) I like to take long night-walks on my own, with no destination in mind. I prefer to be alone, or to be in the company of one other, and not talk.

4) I think I honestly prefer holding hands to kissing.

5) Choc-mint Ice Magic is my kryptonite.

6) I absolutely cannot stand anybody who has trouble spelling in his or her own langauge. Do these people also miss their mouths when they eat? For fuck's sake!

7) My darkest shame is that sometimes I secretly wish I was popular and attractive instead of a nerd.

8) I wish I had a deeper technical understanding of the sciences, but I'm scared to try, because it might take me on a radically different path in life, and I can't stand the risk of indecision.

9) I have a mild allergy to celery.

10) In highschool, a girl I knew asked me out for a joke. The idea was that nobody would want to go out with me, so the fact I said 'okay' was made all the more amusing. I hope she dies having never known love.

11) I am incredibly punctual, to the point that I often arrive so early I go and do something else, then wind up being late.

12) I don't think I'll ever buy a car - I'm going to choose work based on the availability of public transport. The thing is -- I can't be sure if this is because of a moral conviction, or only because I can't drive.

13) Most of the time, I just wish people would SHUT RIGHT UP.

14) I can, at a moment's notice, identify the straw that broke the dromedary.

15) I have trouble sleeping if there's not some music, or a favourite film playing in the background.

16) I actually care that I might not get this list finished by the time my account expires. That says much about my thoughts on deadlines.

17) I think I lose sight of my own personality when I spend long periods of time away from my friends - I enjoy getting it back, though.

18) As I've done with my account, I mentally phase out an attachment to things I know are going to end soon.
