It's growing on me to be honest...

And it's one of the funniest album covers I've ever seen.
It's a short blog today, as I'm balls-deep in study >.>
Hope everyone is good

Saw OM at the Hi-Fi bar on Friday... Pulled a sickie (yeah... take that Woolworths) to get there and it was well worth it. Excuse my shaky photography skills but I was a tad drunk:

So a pretty sweet gig... It was also good for me as I hadn't been out in a while; due to being constantly violated by studies.
What else has happened? Not a lot to be honest. Plenty of shenanigans happening in Biochemistry though... our latest experiment answered the question of: 'how many test tube lids can my lab partner and I stack one upon another in a stable manner and then place on top of it a blue pipette tip because we have nothing else better to do but waste time in a 4 hour prac class?'

The overall moral of this story? Biochemistry is shit.
Have a good day!!
Went to see Tool at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Sunday - one of the best live shows I've even seen! Hypnotic, crazy visuals. And I think the entire stadium was headbanging when they played 'Stinkfist'. I wish I could have taken some pics, but... Maynard. Yeah
I think you know what I mean >.>
But it looked roughly like this:

So it was freakin' awesome
Other than that, nothing interesting has happened, AT ALL.
Boo.

What do you think?
Also, sorry for the lack of bloggage lately, there's been a lot of this:

That's right, doodling with Sharpies and highlighting shit, in the name of science.

But on a brighter note - I'm seeing Tool in Melbourne on Sunday! Can't wait!!

Hello SG!
What a hectic few weeks it has been! I'm still neck-deep in study, but I thought I'd take some time out to add to this ailing journal
To be honest, not a lot that's interesting has happened in my life the last two weeks, save for two events:
1) I attended an exhibition from a good mate of mine, Alex Jaunozols, who is a painter at the VCA (Victorian College of the Arts). I dig the fact he's still using a traditional medium! Here's a few snaps of his work:

And the man himself

I'll be sure to post more of his work from the end-of-year exhibition!
2) I snapped the side mirror off my car.
Q) HOW U DO DAT?
A) I was reversing, and went too close to the fence.
Q) WHY U DO DIS?
A) Because I'm slightly retarded.
Nevertheless, like most problems in my life, this issue was resolved with copious amounts of duct tape. You can truly fix anything with duct tape, e.g. the Hubble space telescope, compound fractures, broken marriages... the list goes on.

Have a good one SG

Hello all!
I haven't blogged in a while since I've been neck-deep in study. Just a quick update really, so I thought I'd make this a very visual blog.
Firstly, I received this card about a month after my birthday from my best mates, but still, it is by far the best birthday card I've ever had:

Bless them.
Here, have a thigh, two vertebrae, and some neck muscles.

And finally, some old drawing works, since a certain someone insisted I put them up ^_^
Two old works first - I think I've moved away from this shadowy style of drawing. I wouldn't call myself an artist, however they were a great tool for introspection and relaxation. In truth, what was drawn is irrelevant at the time; it's the process which I went through to create them. When I look at them now, after so long, the emotion is so faded that the images have very little meaning to me anymore. All are chalk pastel on paper.

Some newer works - still over a year old mind you - all unfinished of course
"Metropolis" (India ink on paper)

My favourite idea by far, unnamed. I still don't know how to finish it
India ink on paper.

And finally, something that started off as a tree, but became something a little horrifying. (Unnamed, graphite on paper).

And that's just about it

Free beer is the best kind of beer, especially when it's drunk in lectures. It's an undeniable fact of life.

Hello all!
Been a tad busy of late as Uni has resumed for the year. I'm one week in, and somehow, I've already managed to fall behind. How does that even happen?! >.>
The subjects this semester are challenging and interesting as usual; the early favourite being head and visceral anatomy. Such an interesting and fascinating subject; although the amount of information to required to remember sometimes borders on unfair. Just have to keep chugging along I guess.
Also I've decided to join the technological revolution and actually use one of those newfangled 'apps' to help me study - unheard of really, as I'm a very pen-and-paper sort of guy
Here's a happy snap of the app doing its thing:

Pretty snazzy hey?
But I still have to break out the coloured pencils every now and then. Traditional media FTW

Alright, enough blogging; back to staring at the temporal bone.
Peace
