DEEDEE SAYS: “Bipolar is a term used to define things with two (usually opposing) poles Bipolar disorder is not a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders defined by the presence of one or more episodes of abnormally elevated mood, clinically referred to as mania. Individuals who experience manic episodes also commonly experience depressive episodes or symptoms, or mixed episodes in which features of both mania and depression are present. In some patients, depression and mania may rapidly alternate, known as rapid cycling. IvyLlamas (on the left; and up) represents the mania periods, which are episodes of abnormally elevated mood. The colours are brighter, warmer, almost hallucinating. DiazArri (on the right; and down) represents the depressive episodes, which means a really low and hating mood. Colder colours, dying colours, lots of delusions and psychotic feelings Both photographers shot the set at once, with different lighting and few seconds of difference between one shot and the other. So it was really bipolar-ish to be changing expressions every time the flash switched on; and off MUAH!! ”
