is it too late for new year's resolutions?

Alright... I got charged for another year, so I better actually make this year count.

I've been a little busy working and drinking too much. I'm going to New Orleans for my birthday this year. Birthday is Oct. 2, there is a burlesque at Bender's on the 3rd, and we fly out on the morning of the 4th for four days. I guess I'll need to know where to go and shit, but Johnny Davis has been there a million times.

Pretty nice old 67 Cadillac that I've taken up to Lake Tahoe about four times in the last couple of months. It would be pretty rad to drive to NOLA, but there are a few things I need to get fixed before that kind of gig.

Wow... I have'nt been here for a while! How are you fine people? with the exception of Tuffy, I don't really see too many of you out and about. Let's party!

Since Christmas I have sold one motorcycle, bought another, bought a 67 Cadillac that got hit two months later, and grown a mustache. Went to see Eagles of Death Metal and Turbonegro, partied with the Butthole Surfers and installed and removed quite a few hangovers...

what have you been up to?

I have a stupid problem. I'm either chasing a girl that I can't have, or I'm pushing away one that I can have. But from what I hear, nobody has it all figured out. I guess I'll just keep trying.

In other news, I raced in a Soil Saloon CX race last Thursday, went over the handlebars and now the bike is stuck in one gear... but it was the most fun I have had on a bike in a long time! Flaming pentagram, Mexican wrestlers, a generator to light some of the course (it was all off-road in Golden Gate Park), jack'o lanterns, jello shots, margarita shots and an awesome acoustic country band. Neetoes.

So, I guess it's time to update this thing... My account expired, and I bought another year a while back. But I haven't been too involved with SG, as of late.

I turned 30 while you weren't looking. I got a Mexican wrestling mask for my birthday. It's awesome.



I also got new kit for the upcoming CycloCross season. bitchin.



Oh yeah... The Eagles of Death Metal and The Hives came by Bender's at 2AM after their show in SF last month. It was Jesse's (the singer for EODM) birthday and he wanted to party at Bender's. Pretty neat to see the tour bus pull up right in front of the bar and let out the bands. But it kept me pretty busy for a while after hours....

I let my subscription expire... and I didn't really care, except that I couldn't see the naked chicks any more.

I'm getting a new motorcycle. I'm actually trading one that I have for this one:



It's going to be awesome. My buddy Chris is driving back from Massachusetts with it.

I was seeing this girl a while back. An awesome one, but with her two jobs (horse trainer and bartender) and my night jobs, we just couldn't get together enough. We would still hook up every few weeks or so... but didn't talk on the phone much or even see each other around. Then I started going out with my current girlfriend. Never told the old one about the new one... didn't even think I needed to.

So the old one comes in Tuesday night to Bender's.... pretty slow. We are talking, smiling, she orders a Ketel One martini with two olives. No problem. I make it for her, and we talk for a while. She is sitting by herself at the end of the bar closest to the door while I head over and wash a bunch of glass and serve a couple of other people. I head back to her end of the bar and we start talking about her recent move, blahblahblah... Then she smiles (beautifully) and asks "When were you going to tell me?"... "tell you what?" I ask... eying her half empty martini. "That you have a girlfriend..." She says.

Knowing what was about to happen, i replied "I probably wasn't".

SPLASH!

My face, hair and shirt are all soaked in Ketel One (which actually doesn't smell that bad).

She walked out with a smile, and I let her, smiling too.

I finished my second bar shift in a row without drinking. I haven't actually had a drink in two days. Just haven't been feeling it. I think I'll go ride my bike.

wow. My everything hurts. I think I might have gotten in a fight, but after opening Cloony's, things got a little cloudy. I started off with my bicycle ride to Baker Beach. When I got there to hang out with this girl, she was already drinking with a couple of Swedish black metal dudes. I drank a couple of their beers and some ice cold Hornitos before looping back to Zeitgeist, then Bender's. Then I found a place in the city that sells chicken fried bacon. And it rules. I've known the guy that cooks there since he was 13... it's nice to see him do good. I know I went o a party, got kicked out by 4AM, and then went to a buddy;s room above Zeitgeist. And somebody suggested that we go to Cloony's when they open at 6Am. I think my brain tapped out after that.Oh well... good times.

I went to the Lagunitas brewery yesterday. They invited Zeitgeist as guests, and we all had a blast! I worked the closing shift, so I didn't actually get off work until 5AM. We had to meet back at Zeitgeist at 11AM. I think I got about 3 hours of sleep (and was still drunk from work). Awesome. I was passed out cold by 7:30PM!

I just bought a Radiohead album from iTunes. Feels kind of dirty. Too lazy to go the the store, and I don't even have a working CD player anymore.
