But seriously, there is a problem with parenting these days.

This has been one wild weekend, and it's only Saturday morning!
Today I'm going to open a new bank account, look for new glasses and visit the Godson.
I will sleep all day tomorrow, I hope.

Last night I went to a gathering at Kinto's place. Had a grand time!
Good meeting SG Chicago member for the first time and seeing ones I'm starting to see
more often, with booze. I like booze. Wish I could still drink like I could 10 years ago.
I would definately drink more.

Hope eveyone is having a great weekend and getting into a little trouble, and not getting caught.
Unless you're in to getting caught. Then I hope you "Showed The Goat".

Seriously, Wizard World was a blast!
I went with Mr. And Mrs. Apexxx, The notoriousDug and ran into numerous of SG Chicago members I'd met before and met a few others (and just missed a quite few I here). And, I must add, Dorsal is even more adorable in person and a genuine sweetheart!

There wasn't much free stuff given away this year (Damn Recession) but I did pick up a few things that I (for some insane reason) had to have; Like $1.00 each Ninja Stars and a Poloroid taken with, one of my favorite wrestlers, Gail Kim (she was too hot, I had to do it).

Wow!
We're at the halfway mark of 2008. Time creeps faster than a stalker in track shoes!

Chocolate Wedding Update:
So the groom has asked me if I was going to throw him a bachelor party. He and Bridezilla have hinted
at wanting me to throw one in Chicago for two reasons; 1) The groom want to celebrate with all our friends in Chicago since they won't make it the party held in St. Louis. 2) Bridezilla trust's me to host a party that won't come back to haunt anyone.

Well, I told them NO!
1. I'm not the Best Man. That's his responsibility.
2. The wedding is a month away, I have not the money or patience to throw put together one in that quickly.
3. Why the fuck should he have two bachelor parties? Greedy prick!

I'm going to do some cleaning of my friends list. Mostly people I never have any interaction with.
So no one who should even notice I'm gone from their list.

Do you have reocuring dreams? If so, I'd would like to hear one.
I have several. A few good. And very many bad.
Last night/this morning, I had my favorite. One I hadn't had in 10 years. I call it "My Happily Ever After Dream".

It's starts with me fighting in some kind of war. It ends and next think I know, I'm closing some kind of business deal but I'm more happy with what I did other than any thoughts of profit. I have a sense that money isn't important. I exit the office building and find my wife and child waiting for me, I'm more happy to see them than I was about what happend in the meeting. We greet each other, though the kid is knocked out sleeping peaceful in it's stroler. We go to my favorite Itallian restaurant and while there my wife tells me one of my youngest sister called to let us know she just completed some great and important work and won, something like, The Nobel Prize. I'm happy and proud cause now I and my family have everything we ever wanted.

Then I wake up.

See, The Happily Ever After Dream. I used to have it like once a year for like 10 years, then it just stopped. I'd even forgotten all about it. I told my doc about it 4 years ago and that I hadn't had it in years. So having now made me feel great!

Well, that was until I was at work and my sister called having an anxiety attack and bad thoughts. I left work early and met her and my family at the hospital. She ok now and is back home. She's gonna start counselling and maybe meds for her anxiety attacks, which I found out today, she's been having for some time. I guess, in a way, it was a good thing. She can now deal with things she's been holding in an hiding from. Same thing happened to me, only worse. We also talked a bit and she knows she says she knew to call me cause I was the only person who would understand. I think this may be the begining of a turn for the positive with her.

OK, let's get silly again.

Going to a BBQ Sunday, sick or not. It's in Wrigleyville which is the neighborhood whe Wrigleyfield is located. The Cubs will be playing the White Sox that evening which means a LOT of drunk people will be around.

So I was very much looking forward to Mayhem Fest.
But, as my luck would have it, it the same weekend as "The Chocolate Wedding".
You know, the fiasco where I'll be outdoors, in St. Louis, in FUCKING AUGUST wearing this monstrosity;

I'm currently in the grips of Hayfever.

There are a lot of cool things happening in Chicago on the weekend of the 28th.
Comic book convention, tattoo expo and even a fetish ball.
Oh, my!
Then I get an email invite from my suburban friends to come out to a BBQ.
This will be the 4th event of their's I'll pass on cause I'm I really want to go the Comic Convention
and maybe one other thing. They're gonna guilt trip me on this, maybe not consciously, but they will.

Then I hear Tim Russert passed away.

Then went to see The Birthday Massacre with Apexxx and his wife and had a good drunken time. Also met RuneLateralus, a member of some infamy, but a pretty cool guy none the less.
I really want to see them headline. Their 30 minute show was great but they didn't do 3 songs I really wanted to hear.
Mindless Self Indulgence was the main act and well, they're ok, if you like a band whose sound is borrowed from everone else's and insults their fans pretty viciously.
But the mosh pit helped, a lot!


Going to see The Incredible Hulk today. I'm really hoping the person I'm going with doesn't think it's a date.
She's cool and all, but I'm not interested in that way.
We'll see.
