I can't believe it. I just...why? What the hell is happening to us? I'm sure you all are just as sad and enraged as I am about this. And within days of another shooting...I can't understand why. Why is this happening?

Ok, I know everyone and their mother has posted something about this, but hey, it's MY blog...so there. Yes, the election is over with. And yes, Mr. Obama has been re-elected. GET OVER IT! As far as I'm concerned, we were stuck between a rock and a hard place. I've seen reactions ranging from hysterical triumph, to utter defeat. Look, what's done is done. Come what may, but we as a country need to pull together. Whether or not you agree with the outcome, you can still be heard. Keep tabs on your officials, write your representatives. It doesn't matter if you're liberal or conservative. Just keep yourself in the loop as best you can. "Of the people, by the people, and for the people," right?

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!

It's coming up on us, kids. Halloween! Unfortunately, it falls right in the middle of the week this year! But hey, I'm not worried. There's always the weekend before! I'm hoping to hit up downtown with a few friends. What are your plans?

Anyone out there have any remedies for insomnia? NyQuil and tea are already a bust...

Been kind of rough, these past couple of weeks. I get a job at this helicopter squadron as a maintenance tech, only to be told that I'm not going to start until the 18th! How the HELL does that work?! At first, I was told I'd start on the 25th of June. Now, they push me back even more, and I haven't even gotten a reason why! They tell me the position is still mine, but still...the whole situation seems shady. On top of this bull, my sleep has gone to shit...AGAIN! Swear, I'm starting to forget what restful sleep is.

But on to happier news: my best friend is coming to visit! Finally, after years of pestering, he's finally caved and coming out here. And the icing on the cake? WE GOT TICKETS TO COMIC-CON!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!! *cough cough* Sorry.

But yeah, I'm excited. The last Con I went to was '08. Can't wait to see what the got going on this year! Don't know if the Suicide Girls are gonna make it there, but one can hope!

Time for me to head back. Had a blast here at home, but now it's time to go back to Cali (insert Notorious BIG song here). Always great to see NYC. Hopefully, I'll be back that way again soon. Who knows, maybe I might catch one of you up there next time?

Can't wait to get on the road. Perhaps this time we'll actually STOP somewhere and rest this time. Can anyone recommend someplace interesting on the way West?
