R.I.P. Ray Bradbury (August 22, 1920 - June 5, 2012)

This saddens me quite a bit. This man, more than most, fueled my imagination as a child. When I was young, I used to devour his short stories that were published in Sci-Fi monthly & quarterly periodicals that my grandmother would pass down to me when she was finished with them. In middle school, I read The Martian Chronicles. I was already an avid reader by then, but this one transformed my love of reading.

In high school, I was introduced to the masterpiece of Fahrenheit 451. It was the perfect fodder for my then-budding political awakenings & anti-establishmentarianism.

Rest well, friend.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

The one time I was caught shoplifting, it was one of his books I was trying to steal. I really wasn't going to read the book, I just liked the title. And no, I don't remember the title.
