Man...I haven't blogged in a week and I will say a lot has happened. I'm fostering a miniature pinscher named Chico. Chico is apparently a typical min pin, but I have never had a small dog in my life so I don't know what the fuck a typical behaviour is. One thing is for sure, my pit kind of regards him with a queer sense of superiority. It has to be said that Chico has a bit of a dominant personality, so if he doesn't like something LP is doing then he actually nips at him, yipping and yapping and jumping and bouncing around like a fucking...i don't even know what.
As Chico nips and yips and yaps, Lp just looks down from the corner of his pretty brown eyes and I can just see the thought in his head; dude I could fuck you up with just one bite. I tolerate you. I allow you to exist you little shit.
And then he proceeds to walk away almost with a disgusted air about him.

So this year for halloween my munster was a princess. Again. Is it so wrong of me to kind of wish she were a tomboy? I can relate to that. In the end I'll accept her for whomever she wants to be, I just wish she was more of a tomboy than the whole princess and unicorn thing. She loves Chico though. Loves. They folow each other throughout the house playing. Amelia tells him stories and every night he jumps into bed with her and snuggles underneath the covers.



So if you live in the Montreal area and you're looking to adopt a little dog than do some research about miniature pinschers and maybe this dog could be the one for you. He needs someone who can be the alpha, and dominate and run the house, because he's the kind of dog that if given an inch he'll take a mile. He's house trained as well as kennel trained, sleeps through the night, and pretty good with other dogs, there's always one or two that not every dog will get along with. The biggest mistake people make when adopting is not making sure the breed is a right fit for them. A dog is an animal, to be part of the family, not a novelty, a shin new toy to be put back on the shelf after you grow tired of. Pitbulls, for instance, need constant socializing from the very beginning. They need exposure to other dogs in a constant and consistent daily routine. Miniature Pinschers can be stressful if you don't know how to handle them properly, or lead them in the right direction. Chico is a huge suck when he's not a little shit. He's a cute and cuddly lapdog that just loves attention and cuddles and kisses. And he always feels like a puppy.

This is going to be a long post.
I'm an idiot who forgot to post yesterday was national pitbull awareness day.And I'm not talking about this kind of Pitbull. Whoever the fuck he is.
No, no. I'm talking about this Pitbull.
American Staffs are just part of the bull family. It also includes the american bulldog *fun fact, in England only American staffs are referred to as pitbulls but the Bulldogs aren't**
Pitbull isn't really an actual name for any particuliar type of breed, but rather the word is a description of several different breeds part of the bull family.
Every year thousands of dogs are euthanized in the U.S. and Canada and over half of them are a member of the bull family. Every year irresponsible dog owners train their gentle giants to become enraged psychotic manifestations. A combination of abuse and improper breeding leads to the final result; either the dog being killed in a dog fight or euthanized in an SPCA of some sort.
The ironic piece in this puzzle is that the mastiff family, whether is it a bull or any other type, are known for the gentle behaviour and meek manners. A true animal lover knows that the pitbull breeds are misunderstood, intelligent and not the cold blooded killers they are made out to be.
Let it be known that yes, certain pitbull breeds can be more aggressive than other breeds, but that's not to say that with proper training, exposure to other dogs and people,(i.e. proper socialization) the dog can be without agression just as a golden retriever or a lab. Racism is an asshole move, applied to humans AND animals, so just remember the next time someone starts talking about how dangerous pitbulls are...they really have no idea what the fuck they're talking about.
And you should tell them so.

So a little while ago the boy and i packed up the little munster and went back home to Toronto (where we're both from). We laughed...I think I cried when I got too sick one night...and then we came home.
Here's our proof:





I know you can't really tell it's Toronto, but there's only one rainforest cafe in Canada as far as I know, and it's in Yorkdale. Which, I might add, makes me feel subjected and forced to take part in total and complete commercialism. It makes me sad how corrupted in disgusting ways western society is, and Yorkdale just reinforces my opnion.
All that to say I STILL hate Toronto and I'm glad we only went for three days.
