So nothing new going on again lol. Haven't heard anything from te girl that stood me up so I am just writting it off sadly. Work has been OK but not fantastic. I finally got to see Dark Knight on Monday and i LOVED IT it was so amazing. My favorite scene is one right in the beginning when The Joker is leaving the room with all the Mobsters in it and he has all the Grenades in his jacket all attached to one chain. i couldn't stop laughing my ass off at his facial expression during that.

So the one question i have to ask is....

Am I the ONLY person in the world that DOESN'T like the band TOOL? I'm not saying they suck.I have heard some of their songs and i liked a small handfull of them. But i just don't at ALL understand how so many people think they are this AMAZING group and that they are geniuses like so many people seem to believe.
Am i alone? does anyone else think this?

not saying that's the only way to appreciate them. but it sure as fuck opens your eyes to a completely new and interesting world.

i like telling people to do drugs. cuz they always seem offended or something. it's absolutely hilarious.

Thanks! And no problem. I'm very very open to a lot of music (except country) so I have listened to lots of types. I can't knock them unless I've listened to them is my philosophy. But you have a pretty well honed set of likes so I doubt a lot of stuff people are going to mention will actually fit.

Love Tool. I love that they actually write songs ABOUT things, but they aren't explicit, and you have to dig deep to get the most out of the meanings. Those are the most rewarding kinds of media for me.

the best scene was when the Joker was at the hospital. and Tool is an aquired taste, i think. i have all the Tool albums and only listen to them every now and then

I'm like the only person on earth that has not seen that movie yet. I want to see it so bad.

Well they are an amazing band, they have so many different sounds, they take aspects of so many different kinds of music and put it together and the imagery is amazing. But asking why some one likes a band is like asking some one why they like pizza, it's all about taste, if they don't like it you can't make them see why you like it.

I enjoy the first 3 albums and not the last few as much. I think the last two albums got too influenced by what he was doing in APC. I love APC btw, just not Tool "light"(last 2 cd's).

Sucks about that lady you met. You'll find some girl when you least expect it my friend. I have fallin bass akward into a few ladies as of late though. So wish me luck.
