My cat is in the hospital tonight & I'm seriously freaking out. This is so unexpected because I took him for his annual checkup just last week. So please, send good vibes his way or if you pray, please pray for him. He is my friend,my buddy, & I love him as though I were his mom. Please wish us luck!

In other news, I have a new hobby. I've been making homemade skin exfoliators with ingredients I already have in the kitchen. Most of which have green tea in them in some form. I have fun making them & they feel really nice on the skin! Thanx YouTube!!

I've decided to begin a minimalist lifestyle journey, & I'm already going full force. I believe there's a lot to be said for having a happy, fulfilling life without measuring happiness by possessions. It's more fulfilling by far to be a great friend, daughter, spouse, relative, etc. Its not that difficult for me to be a minimalist as it is for some because I come from a low- income family. I've lived in a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 other families & mine, in an apartment that didn't have running water, lived without electricity & gas every now & then. So, living with just the bare necessities isn't foreign to me. I've never been materialistic, but have found solace in material possessions to fill emotional voids in the past, & doing that never changed anything. For me, there has to be more to life. Minimalism can equal freedom for the future if you do things right. It can mean freedom form the chokehold of debt. And on a lighter note, who doesn't want less clutter & things that collect dust??
Went to Green Fest this year, which was fun & helpful to my minimalist journey. That's a really great place for info! I talked my mom into going with me. Once she found out that the entire food court was vegetarian & I was buying her lunch, she was no longer hesitant! Bad thing is, I got a sunburn that day :/

It's been a while since my last blog. Things have been kinda hectic for me lately. I guess that's a good thing, in a way. Except for the Spring cleaning I had to do lol.

Now it feels like Spring is here!! Its a nice change It seemed like this winter dragged a bit. Whats new with everyone in SGland??
I'm feeling really discouraged as far as fitness goes. My ideal body is that of Christy Mack, but I talked to her about what her exercise regimen is & she said that she actually doesn't workout or diet. That discouraged me because I feel like I work so hard to count calories, eat healthy, fast, exercise like crazy, & don't look half as good. I still think she's really cool, but feel like I need a new fitness inspiration. Sorry if all this sounds really stupid, fitness is just important to me. After losing 40 pounds a few years ago, I try to do my best to achieve my fitness goals.
I don't think I'm going to be traveling this summer, so I'm on the hunt for good shows to go to here Just ones that aren't too expensive though.
Well, I'm off to go make more green tea so I can stay awake!! Hehe

I saw Jurassic Park 3D yesterday & loved it! It was definitely a different experience from when I saw it 20 years ago. I saw Evil Dead the day it came out & it was pretty creepy!! & I don't usually get creeped out by horror movies. There's just one every now & then that will do it.
My cat accidentally fell in the tub the other day, while it was full. Like most cats, he hates water, so he jumped out immediately & I had to chase him around my apartment with a towel to try do dry him off. I dried him off when I finally caught up to him, but then had to wipe up the puddles he left on the floor. That was definitely an adventure! Hopefully his curiosity toward the tub has been satisfied

Yeah, so I spent St. Patty's Day with zombies & a Whole Foods burrito. It sounds odd, but I was happy. Guacamole is green, so I wasn't entirely in denial of what day it was. For the most part, "Walking Dead" day is a good day!
On Saturday, a car was on fire right outside of my apartment building. It was a bad one!! I was getting tired but then I heard a loud noise (I'm guessing that's when the windows blew out) & went to the window, saw that & called 911. Then I was definitely awake after that!! Scary stuff!
I hope i don't offend anyone when I say this, but brides are annoying. (Not all brides, of course. But definitely some!!) Being a bride to be can certainly turn someone into an overnight asshole! Sorry, had to vent a little

I might be the only Irish girl who doesn't really celebrate St. Patricks Day. Not the way most people do, anyway. I guess I take it too seriously. But, for those of you who have plans, have fun & be safe!! I'm sure a lot of people drive when they shouldn't after too many drinks. When in doubt, have a shamrock shake instead haha!!
