Finished my first semester back in college!

Had an amazing vegan Christmas dinner with good friends!

Spending a week in Tahoe at Northstar, snowboarding, in January!

Super excited for next semester to start! Taking Cultural Anthropology, General Psychology, Algebra, & Academic English! Oh, did I mention I joined the Honors program? Yep, I'm crazy,... crazy happy to be in school and working toward my goal of becoming a doctor

All work and no play........ well there has been playing but all active kind and not a lot of time to sit around and chat with people on SG land. Mostly snowboarding as of late, not so much into riding my bikes in the cold!

Going to be moving soon, just to a new place with a new roomie! NOT leaving San Francisco!

My sister decided to leave this world four years ago.
Her loss has been and will forever be very hard for me to deal with. She is very important to me, she inspired and taught me so much growing up. She was an amazing women, sister and friend. I will never forget the strength, love and respect she taught me.
On her birthday this year I performed a ceremony to honor her and to help me work though some of the trauma her loss has caused me. I performed a lotus suspension, I hung for over an hour. It was an eight point suspension. Four hooks in my back and two in each leg at the calf and by my knees.
It was an amazing experience. I can not share the emotional details of the event, but I will say it was intense, beautiful and a little bloody!

But thank the gods I'm still alive!!
I was riding my motorcycle home on I-280 in the rain, at night. I noticed something on the road just in front of me. Thought at first it was some mud, then realized "no, its blood.... and a FUCKING DEAD DEER!'
I'm doing about 80mph, its laying across most of my lain, I have no time to go around it! So I straighten the front end, get up off the seat, standing on foot pegs, shift weight back and pull up on the front end as the front wheel hits the carcass. Launch off the deer, both wheels off the ground (or so it felt like), landed holding the front end firmly straight, and sat back down on the seat.......................... "HOLY FUCK" I say out loud!
Realizing what just happened, and amazed that I did not crash, I decided I should pull over at the rest stop just ahead to make sure the bike is ok.
Stop, check for bits-o-deer wedged where they should not be, and look for any major signs of damage. All is well, aside for the smell of flesh and hair on my exhaust. So after a nice deep breath (away from my bike), I get back on the road. Thats when I noticed that my mirrors had shifted upward from landing that hard after JUMPING OFF THE FUCKING DEAD DEER IN THE ROAD!
Continued home without a hitch. My Honda VTR1K ran just as smooth as she always dose!
All I can say is, I FUCKING LOVE MY BIKE and I am glad I have great reaction skills!

The birthday weekend was awsome!
The Winter Ball was fun, didn't say hi to as many people as I would have liked to, cos I'm kinda shy
Sunday was chill, had brunch with my room mate, then dinner with a couple of friends.......... then off to a really good show at DNA. Really like Cenotype!
Last but not least........... the best part of my birthday was the boyfriend taking me to Millennium for dinner on Monday. Millennium is a VERY nice all vegan restaurant in SF. The food was beyond amazing! He pretty much rocks, he was super sweet and thoughtful all weekend. Makes me wish I could see him that often more often!

My birthday weekend is coming up! And what a weekend it will be
We have Lil Tuffy's Winter Ball on Saturday night, and then Sunday (my birthday) night there is an awsome show @ the DNA lounge put on by my favorite boy intoner

...and then Monday night DJ WINTERUTE of CENOTYPE will have a guest performance @ Death Guild
All in all, lots of fun! I'm very excited and want it to be February now!

.............. are days getting shorter? Why dose it seem as though I have very little time away from work?
I'm only working 5-6 more hours per week, its just the commute that is killing me!
Time wise its only 15min more, but I'm riding my motorcycle instead of my bicycle. This means I have to find MORE time to ride my road bike......... and this cuts into time I would spend at the rock gym!
Lets not even go into time to hang out with friends, or time to make new friends! Guess I'm just meant to be a big hermit after all.
Its cool, the friends I do get to spend time with are pretty RAD!
and the new road bike is amazing!

Well that fucking sucked!!!!
I got hit by a car while out on my Thursday night bicycle ride! The guy driving the car was puling out of a parking spot and did not look to see me coming down the bike path. I knew he didn't see me, so I pushed it as hard as I could In hopes I would clear him! But no, he smashed into my rear wheel and the bike and I went crashing down.
I'm ok, neck is a little sore but my rear wheel is broke and I think the rear triangle is bent!
Gerrrrrrrrrr! It was right at the start of the ride too
Though the guy who hit me said he would pay out of pocket for the repairs! So looks like I will be able to get my new road bike next week
