Well, My time has come. My membership expires fairly soon and as i'm really not spending anytime on here anymore I shall be weaving my way into the SG sunset. I've had some great times with people I've met on here and hope to see many of you again soon. Contact me on email jakedoherty99@hotmail.com or through the dreaded myspace hole.
So mainly I'm leaving cos I don't use it much but also there is a slight hint of the political behind my motivation. I'm sure you all know of the attempts made by SG to monopolise the 'alt.porn.community.etc.etc' and its court cases against sites such as perverse fixtation and godsgirls, as well as its persecuction of lithiumpicnic and the ridiculous terms models must agree to. To be honest all this leaves a nasty taste in my mouth and although I am but a lowly member it's not something I want to be involved with, It stands contrary to what I believed this site was all about.
Also I'm interested to see if I get kicked off for this! ;-)
So farewell, Thanks for everything, see you round!

Ooops...sorry I fell in here I was looking for something else but as I've nothing better to do I'll fill you in on the thrills and spills of a simple country lad in London.
So, still no luck with a job, though I have just applied to BUPA, I must be getting old, pensions and medical plans seem like things I should care about now. I've often been told I'm good listener so I thought I'd see if it got me anywhere, I think this job involves helping people through whatever proceedure it is they're going through, advising, guiding, listening. It sounds like a challenge, fingers crossed.
I have however found myself a hard-rockin band at long bloody last! They are called Mordachi, and you can find us here or myspazzzzz there.
I love it! I'm so pleased, It's exactly what I wanted, a band that rocks, a bit of metal, a bit of electronica, big fat fuzzy basslines and a bit of screaming. And they're a great bunch too, so all is good in musicland!
We're off to a Cinquo de Mayo mehhiiicaaan party tommorrow for which I will be endevouring to look like Agent Sands in 'Once upon a time in Mexico' I've got a funny feeling I'll actually look like a trans-sexual Britney Spears impersonator who's been stabbed in the eyes! Oh well with enough tequila it's all one and the same!

A door creaks slowly open in the darkness, cobwebs part and a figure emerges coughing through the dust.

Afternoon!
A saturday off with nothing to do, whats the world coming to! Well i guess it makes up for working my day off yesterday and being paid three days late. Sooo whats been going on in the world? Births, marriages, deaths, acts of love, lust and longing? I'm gonna have to say in here how much fun the camping meet t'other weekend was, as i've been kicked out of SGUK again, how tiresome, i mean honestly can i be arsed to check in every day just in case i get booted? So if anyone can be bothered, could you vouch for me, cheers. I'm just annoyed cos it means i cant comment on the weekend. Oh and can i add if anyone mentions the vengaboys again there'll be trouble!!
So i'm spending my rare and unexpected day off lounging, eating and generally soothing myself after the metal overdose of GoreRotted and Amon Amarth at the Underworld last night. I love the fact that my main memories, other than just RAAAAAAARGH euphoria, are; "this is the first song we ever wrote about cannibals" "1,2,3,4, where's my hacksaw?" and "back door, crack whore" and a massive bearded viking with a booze filled horn!
We then made a brief diversion to The Devonshire arms where contrary to popular rumours they didnt play the Kaizerchiefs, just some old goth bollocks!
After downing a couple of JDs and plastering ourselves with slap (one of us more so than the other) we made our slightly wobbley way to Sin City at the Electric Ballroom, feeling like naughty teenagers as we smuggled a bottle of vodka in, purely for the purposes of sterilising the glasses you understand! We drank, danced, did shots, ridiculed people, got lost in the escher-like bowels of the place whilst looking for the loo (well i did anyway) and eventually had to make a break for the cooling rain-soaked freedom of Camden and the bewildered search for a bus to the neon stained, grease splattered human zoo that is Oxford st at 4am!
Next stop Winnebago Deal and The Blackout on Monday, cant wait!!
Right i'm off to get food and other hangover easing devices!

You'll have to forgive me if i start ending every sentence with "innit" I'm sure i shall have developed and east london accent in no time! So i've moved at last, friday and saturday last week were rubbish! spending two of the hottest days of the year carrying heavy things up and down stairs and driving miles backwards and forwards down the same stretch of road was great fun! I must have sweated off about a stone and ended up with one sunburnt arm. I also almost paralysed myself lugging my cases to the bus stop, but you know, it's a small price to pay, I'm here now and i'm so happy!
I can't wait for next saturday, we've got tickets to Torture Garden!
I haven't been for ages, it's gonna be fantastic, though i have no idea what to wear
I really must get the sunday off work as intend to be in no state to do anything (much) afterwards
I was trying to explain TG to a dutch person the other day and she was really struggling with it, it appears everyone thinks its just some glorified swingers club packed with deviants, which of course is only half true! Mind you, she was reading a flyer for another night which wanted people to come dressed as 'fetish ninjas' or 'kickboxing sluts'!! Fuck yeah! put me down as a fetish ninja, though the contents of the utility belt would probably boggle the mind!
I hope you've noted the absence of any new SG layout slagging from this corner, but it's put me off commenting and updating loads recently, it just gets on my tits, apologies, but blame a combination of all the buttons being in the wrong place and having the computer skills of a giraffe (everytime i lean over a keyboard the blood pressure in my neck builds up and my head blows clean off!)
Oh i played my farewell gig with Murdoc last friday. It was exactly as it should be... sheer drunken chaos, a drummer on drugs, gutter level between songs banter, posing, a mid set surfing display, equipment breakages, and it all wrapped up with me sat on the kick drum playing Jen's giutar with Dean sat on my lap while we murdered a song we haven't played for years! All this of course after my mother and sister turned up only to find me in the garden with a huge wet JD stain on my crotch and Dean setting my jeans on fire, oh and being berated by an arseholed midget lady with a walking stick for being rubbish! Murdoc...high quality professional entertainers!! I'll miss em!

So this will probably be my last post from the 'nam, i guess my tour of duty is over. As of saturday night i will be resident in London once more.
It was inevitable really that i'd end up back there, it's the only place i've ever felt at home, i mean at home in the sense of outside of my flat. Growing up in the country was great, idyllic even, when i look back it all seems a bit 'famous five' but as a teenager it was rubbish. Living in London allowed me to do all the things i wanted to do, at the times i wanted to do them, it was so exciting to find this 24 hour society that had seemed like a dream before. As i've walked the streets here recently, i've thought about the peace, the space and the lack of people. These things i guess i'll miss, but hell there's plenty of time for all that later, gimme life, gimme fun, gimme love, gimme the world, thats what it's time for now!
So i have about a million things to pack and store somewhere, and to condense my vital things into one suitcase, a rucksack and a guitar case. I wish i didn't have so much stuff, i just want to burn it all and leave with a bag over my shoulder and a guitar under my arm (hopeless romantic? me?) But then this stuff is important, its my history and i want to keep it safe so it's all going to my dads...again!!
So wish me luck with the move, next time we speak i shall be happy and content and at peace at last!

Ah the occasional simple joys of my job! There can't be many places where you can do this....

Anyway, Isn't Bristol full of freaks? I did end up working there at the weekend, though my car almost blew up twice on the way there. I spent most of the time watching strange hunch-backed people with clawed hands desperately clutching cans of White Lightning staggering back and forth in front of the shop tripping over mutated pigeons!
So on to more important things... The Metal Hammer Golden Gods!! Yeah baby, we were there, Bullet rocked, JD's were drunk, we saw Nick Oliveri, Coheed, Dragonforce, Lacuna Coil, Trivium and Will Smiths missus
Who apparently has a band now! About halfway through the night we looked like this...

Before staggering our way back via a pub and a horrendous chip shop! I wish i'd taken more photo's but then again this is a rather photo heavy entry!
Did anyone else notice the exceptionally heavy rain on tuesday?? I only mention it because in the the time it took me to get from the bus to the shops ( a distance of about 20ft) i thought i was going to drown! Then i found the mall under water, i had to paddle my way through, i'm so glad i bought a canoe! By the time i got to Oxford circus however, there was no sign of rain, so there i am, a lone bedraggled figure quietly squelching my way through the streets, leaving a soggy little trail and garnering very strange looks!
Oh here's a bit of a flashback for ya... Anyone in the Gloucester area on Friday 30th, It's my farewell show with Murdoc at the Pig inn the City's Zombie-fest!! Christ knows what that will involve, hopefully some corpse make up and rock n roll. I just thought i'd let ya know!!
