EDIT.
Can't sleep, which is too bad really, as I'm about to go on a mini excursion for the day. Today is the
day of hag-face.
So I went and caught George Michael ... his voice definitely sounds better in person; no other medium grasps the nuances quite like witnessing it yourself. It's true he had a throng of singers basically on his hindquarters the whole night, but those rare moments of solo-crowd interplay gave me jitters ... I'd tears in my eyes during his rendention of The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face. It's just - his voice ... carried so beautifully that I couldn't bear to stand it. No performance is ever like the last or next, and I remember thinking to myself about four songs in, that he could just quit, walk out and leave pronto - without a mite of breath or gesture - and I'd still think that it was one of the most endearing things I ever saw. It'd be difficult to tally up all the people who've recorded the afformentioned song. I think his rendition is best. I just do. There's quite a lot of entrophy plaguing his voice and my ears when I listen back to the albums. His range is a little lower now; it sounds less brusque and I like it moreso. The albums just don't get it.
In lieu of of posting more self-absorbed emo dribble ...

I'll update this later because I can't think right now.
Going to California on Tues if everything works it out. It'll be my first visit to another state in 4+ years! I dun'no how long I'll be there. My Dad's uncle was featured in the July 8th version of Time magazine cause he has FXTAS and his daughter lobbies for it. I haven't seen him in a long time and I don't know if I'll see him this time, but I thought it was pretty neat-o! It was just on my grandfather's table and I was thumbing through - kinda a WTF?! moment - well, sorta, anyway.
I guess I'll just abstain from the net until my feelings of discontentment pass. There's not really anything I have to feel sad about,...
