I, as Queen of the Universe, have made the executive decision that to shake things up a little this year, all Americans will be required to vote in the Canadian election, and all Canadians will be required to vote in the American election. Neither the Americans or the Canadians will be allowed to vote in their own election.
So... what do you think will happen?
So... what do you think will happen?
I won tickets to Edgefest this morning! I called into 102.1 The Edge while I was driving to work, because they were doing 'Wha Happened?' on the Dean Blundell Show and I had a good story.
AND I WON!!!
I won tickets to Edgefest, tickets to the Warped Tour, and a case of Frank's Energy Drink. Plus, I was on the radio so now I'm famous.
FYI, I beat a girl who's intestine exploded while she was having sex with her boyfriend!

I got a spa package for my birthday. I'm totally going to get pampered. I can't wait!!!
That is all.
That is all.
I think I'm addicted to Guitar Hero.
I'm showing some of the basic symptoms, such as:
- trying to play notes on my steering wheel while I'm driving (and I commute 3 hours a day!);
- commenting or thinking every time I hear a song with good guitar about how "that song would be awesome on Guitar Hero!"
- I'm using it to jolly myself out of a bad mood, instead of having a smoke or getting laid;
- I'm still super-pissed that Sony hasn't released a version of GH1, GH2, or GH80's that I can play on PS3 (WTF? What are they waiting for?);
- It's coming up up quite often in daily conversations, even at work (where I learned, to my relief, that it's not just me)!
I have my eyes set on Rock Band next, but man... I dunno if I can afford two addictions. My cousin told me her Rock Band guitars worked on Guitar Hero 3, for Xbox 360 - anyone know if the same applies for PS3?

I finally watched Sicko tonight.
WOW. That's really all I can say. Except WHY do people still live in the States?!?!?!
PS: I'm moving to France. I want the guvment to do my laundry, too.

Um, I just got tired of looking at my old journal entry, so yeah, here we are.
I hope I didn't like, pull you away from anything important.
Here, this made me laugh:

Let me get this straight... Bin Laden thinks the reason that so many disagree with or are outright against Islam is because of the Pope???
Let me make one thing clear. I have no problem with Islam. I think many of the beliefs are actually quite thought provoking, and I've always found all religions to be interesting. Blaming an entire religion for the work of a small portion of fanatics is ridiculous. We never blame all Christians when a Catholic runs out and commits a bunch of murders "in the name of God", do we? Of course not. We say he's mentally unbalanced, or whatever. Blaming all Muslims would be just as stupid.
But the fact is that many narrow-minded idiots do blame the entire religion, and are distrustful of anyone with brown skin, or wearing a turban. And according to Bin Laden, this is the Pope's fault. The Pope? Seriously? Has it not occured to him that the reason that people might be fearful or intolerant of his religion, might be because his followers keep trying to blow shit up and kill people? Does he really not realize that he is to blame for the current problem? Or is he just trying to add fuel to the fire? He can't really be THAT stupid, can he?
I wish that people would realize that religious fanaticism (is that a word? looks like one) only causes problems. I wish that people would realize that you can't blame an entire religion for the crack-headed actions of a few. And I really wish Bin Laden would just roll over and die (preferably quietly, in his sleep, so nobody could be blamed) - then maybe some of his followers would get a brain and back off, and some of the intolerant assholes who like to blame everybody for everything would get a grip and realize the truth.
Argh. I try so hard to keep faith in humankind, and so often I falter.
Also, go read this. Even if you are scared of the CE boards, read it. Just don't comment, or read other members comments

Fucking e-bay.
Never again will I be stupid enough to try and sell something on that idiotic site. The buyers are completely protected, which I understand, since there are a lot of fraudulant sellers out there. But honest sellers (ie. ME) have no protection whatsoever.
I got a new cell phone, mainly just because my hubby was getting a new one because his old one was beat to shit, and getting a second new phone was dirt cheap. Of course, this is just before the time that I had to take my leave of absence from SG. So I get the bright idea, why not sell my old phone on e-bay? It's in excellent shape, because I rarely used it, and I still had all the original packaging. Then I can get my SG account back with the money I make! So I list it, and specify in the listing that it is used, but in really good shape. Needless to say, before listing it, I deleted all my info off the phone, and tested everything to make sure everything was working, plus got the unlock codes so it will work on any GSM network.
It gets bought, buyer sends money, I send phone. Then, I get an e-mail on Friday saying that the buyer recieved the phone, but the call button doesn't work. What??? I tested that phone backwards before I sold it, and it was working perfectly. Don't you think, with it being a phone, that I might have noticed if the CALL button wasn't working? You know, the most-used button on a phone? And the funny thing is, he says it works if you are scrolling through the contact list and hit it, but it doesn't work if you dial a number and hit it. That makes no sense - the call button is the call button. So I send him an e-mail asking him to verify that he's hitting the right button, and giving him examples of 3 ways to make a call. He sends me an e-mail back saying yes, all the other ways work, but that it's too much of a pain in the ass, and he doesn't want the phone anymore.
By this point I'm getting a little suspicious - seems more like buyers remorse than an actual problem with the phone. How does a button work for one thing and not another? If I hit the number 4 on my phone while dialing a number and it works, is it even possible that the number 4 button wouldn't work say, while texting? A button is a button - it either works or it doesn't. So I contact e-bay to see what my options are. Everybody I've spoken to has given me the same answer - none. Apparently, my only option is to refund the buyer his money, regardless of whether there is actually a problem with the phone when I recieve it back, plus refund him all the shipping costs to make sure he doesn't leave me bad feedback. So that will put me out $20 - $25. One guy has the audacity to say, "Where's the problem? You get the phone back, he gets his money back, then you can just list it again." OH, and give e-bay more money? It already cost me $7-8 for the original listing, plus the $20 - $25 in shipping, for NOTHING. At least Paypal has said they'll refund my conversion fees if I refund the guy, so there's $3 back in my pocket
So, friends and neighbors in SGland, the moral of the story is this - buy to your heart's content on e-bay, and rest assured you can always get your money back, no matter what the situation. But don't sell on e-bay, unless you are actually trying to rip people off. Then you'll probably be ok.
At least I got my SG account back, so I could vent! My husband should be so happy
Clidna will never, ever sell anything on e-bay again. Yard sales FTW!
(Also, the above sentance is proof that I've been spending too much time on the CE boards again. Ahh, it's good to be back!)

I'M BACK, BITCHES.
Did you miss me?
I missed all of you.
It's actually quite sad - I never would have believed what a giant hole not having SG would put into my life. I had to watch my hubby play Call of Duty 4 a lot.
But I'm back now, so look out CE boards!!!
Now tell me... what'd I miss?
