Oh jeez. I just realized I haven't blogged on here in over a year. Guess I'll do a vague little update!

Excited for SxSWi again, March 12-16. Representing Glass. Will I see any of you there?

Loving my new job. Quick commute, great people, fun office (we have a slide!), and I get to do UI design and front-end markup all day.

The new place is great. Construction should be done soon, and the solar panels will be hooked up. We're still trying to fill the place with as much designer furniture as possible (most are knockoffs right now). Some pics by Zoetica are here. You may also recognize the place in a couple of sets! The boyfriend (escapist) is great. The cat (Toki) is great.

Really, no complaints. LA is the place for me to be right now, I'm finally becoming a grown up and finding out who I am.

Radeo - Sweet Disposition

Duuude, I haven't updated in a really long time. I guess this makes me a shitty internet person. Or busy with day-to-day life or something.

- I'm doing the master cleanse right now, day 4/10. So far feeling really good, I think this will make me feel much happier and healthier and help change my eating habits for the better.

- Excited for SXSWi in less than a month, my first time going. Hoping I pick up a lot from the panels, which are looking really great, and maybe even meet some new people. That reminds me, I need to build myself a new website pretty soon here, but one can't always force inspiration to come.

- Other upcoming trips? Mexico beach huts, Palm Springs mid-century mansion rental, my old stomping grounds of Santa Cruz, and Europe (Holland, Belgium, France). One trip a month, up past my birthday. Plus a few weekends in Sacramento somewhere in there. I've really missed traveling, and I'm glad life is stable and relatively well-financed for me to do so.

- Job = great. Boyfriend = great. Cat = great. Apartment = great. Family = great.

- Could use more concerts in my life, someone send some good bands through already, MAN!

An update! Let's do this.

This weekend was Clairefest, meaning my 24th birthday. The parents came down from northern California, met the boy, caught up. I invited them to the birthday bbq at my place where they got to meet some of my buddies and party it up. Did a little bit of rock band, whisky shots, a pretty nice little gathering. I bought myself a new iPhone since I was dying to get one, and I get giddy every time I use it.

Not much else to add. The cat and the boy and I have been enjoying just taking it easy and watching late night cartoons, and I'm slowly settling into the new place and getting things just the way I want it. The job is keeping me busy and stimulated.

I really can't complain!

So, I got a new place!

It's a bungalow in the Echo Park hills, less than a mile from my current apartment. They're redoing it now, craftsman exterior and hardwood floors and all new stuff inside. One bedroom, walk in closet, large private deck and backyard with gardening plots. I'll be able to get a kitty, and finally have a decent amount of space!

I will have to get a bunch of furniture, as I have barely any at the moment, I'll be combing craigslist for a full size refrigerator and couch/chairs.

I've very excited about it, I have another walkthrough when it's finished in a couple weeks, then I can start moving in in a month.

Grown up job, grown up apartment, I'd say maybe I've done okay, and my one year anniversary in LA is coming up soon.

An update? Well, let's see, not much is different in life.
The job is going well, just doing what I can to meet that launch date. Still enjoying myself and being able to pay off some of the credit card and student loan.
I can forsee some problems in the future, with my home laptop, my iPod, my car, etc. but I plan on just running everything into the ground until it 'splodes.
The whole moving out thing will be something to look forward to. I really think I wanna stay in the Echo Park/Silverlake area so I can easily reach Oxnard and the Venice area, plus stay around all these great veggie restaurants and dive bars. I'll be combing myspace, facebook, sgla and westside rentals for roomie options around June, and if it doesn't work out, I'll just go solo again. It's nice to be able to walk around the house naked and leave messes, but I miss having people around when I come home to that I can feed and play video games with.
I've kinda cooled off on the dating thing and finding new people. Been too busy hanging out with the friends I have, and am satisfied with the quality over quantity I have.
Upcoming shows: The Sword, ZZ Top, Iron Maiden, friends and local bands, maybe Blue Oyster Cult.
Oh! And I got an Xbox 360! No Rock Band yet (no space), but have a few other shooters and such. If you have a live account and wanna add me, let me know, or if you wanna sell/trade any games.
I think that's it.... yep, boring.

Today is my last day at SG.
I'm really gonna miss the rest of the staff, so I hope they keep in touch!
