when i was a child the science fiction of the time allowed me to dream of all the possibilities the future. now here i am as an adult and very little of the fiction from my childhood has come true. i was really hoping that there would be an A.I. like H.A.L., or genetic splicing to modify human senses or appearances, cause really who wouldn't want a prehensile tail or cats eyes? wheres the cybernetic implants to fix or replace broken bodies? oh thats right there is more money to be made in erections and hair loss prevention.
