So, it is high time I updated this thing.

I just have nothing to say. lol.
Seriously though, its something I've often wondered about as I've aged. When I was younger (in high school or freshman year of college), I would fill my livejournal on a daily basis. I think much of it was angsty though, but maybe that's the point. Maybe that's why livejournal and similar sites have this reputation for being "emo angst dump-buckets." Because, when you're life is absent all that drama and angst, you have nothing interesting to post in a journal anymore, you have no reason to keep it up, because you don't have this inner need to write to give your emotions vent. Therefore, journal sites are full of angst because non-angsty people simply stop updating their blog.
So outside of that, what do I write about here? I could talk about video games or television shows and follow the thousands of people who try to become 'review bloggers', but thats done to death and besides, nearly everything I'm watching/playing is at least several months old. I may still write about it on occasion, if I notice something interesting or odd, but does anyone really care about my views on old playstation and super nintendo games? (yes, I recently beat FF8 for the first time, the only one in the series beside the newest one I had never beaten).
or I could write about my life, which is what most people do....except my life is cataclysmicly boring. I go to work, make food for some very nice and sweet elders, come home and either play video games by myself or boardgames/D&D with my friends, and then sleep. Woo. I'm not trying to get into a big modeling firm, or going back to school, or even trying to quit smoking or something. There's nothing in my life relevant to an update lol.
Well, that turned out longer than I imagined, and offers an explanation why I'm not saying much...so hopefully, the next time I post, it will be with actual engaging information. Until then, I'm still here and still reading/commenting on all of your journals...you guys anyway. The people who actually see this post. But only you few, no one else. Yes that includes you, the one on the right. I like your haircut.

I do everything I can to avoid letting this blog become like a livejournal. You know, *rantrant everything sucks emo emo* 
But its inescapable anymore, if I am going to post about my life, the truth is that I'm actually quite depressed. All the time. I distract myself with games, or movies. But I'm invariably still sad once the moment is over, I'm lonely...that's the bottom line. I'm truly, incredibly lonely. I miss my friends, who are all far away now (or some started that way), and I miss having someone to hold in my arms.
But I'm not looking for sympathy, and I believe there's only something like 2 people that ever read my journal anyway. I just got tired of wearing the happy mask for a moment, so indulge me my small respite. The next time you hear me I won't drown everyone else in my sorrows, I promise.
And I hope that everyone out there has a truly happy day.

After a long bleak winter, my internet is finally functioning again.
I hope I can stay connected now....The problem was that I introduced my family to the wonders of high speed internet, and now they're all addicts. My aunt spent an entire day downloading and watching every single Marlon Brondo movie and biography she could find. That was the spike that caused my ISP to throttle me way down.
Its hard to make them understand....that they can watch videos, they can surf as much as they want, just for the love of gods, do it in moderation. My aunt's like, "well if i can't watch my videos we might as well have dial up." You can watch videos on Marlon Brondo, just not 38 of them straight in a row.
I wish so very much I could have DSL or something similar, so it just wouldn't even be a problem.

Allow me to apologize for disappearing for a couple weeks. My internet is screwed up pretty bad at the moment. it took me almost 20 minutes just to log on and get the blog page to load successfully.
I have satellite internet and we've gone over our fair access policy....and so now they've tossed up back into the stone age for the foreseeable future. And I can't seem to get us back under it, cuz no matter what I say, no one will tone down their internet usage but me. When it gets really bad nothing seems to load at all and my MSN messenger and my email are the only things that connect....so if you miss me, get a hold of me one of those ways.
So I'll be back with bells on as soon as I can can, and I miss you all very much.

So two things....
1) I really hate Windows, and that's not anything new or exciting. Most people with an ounce of computer skill know the flaws and bugs of windows, but I just have to be a little ranty here. As you may or may not know, if someone sends you anything but a JPEG over MSN Messenger, it has a tendency to delete it, saying that has "blocked it because it may be unsafe". Thats all well and good to try and keep me from inexplicably downloading viruses, but what if i know its a safe file because I know exactly what it is and why my friend is sending it to me (like a song, or a small program they want me to test). Can I unblock it somehow? No, thats just too damn bad because its permanently, completely, 100% deleted when the messenger does this. Finally the other day, in frustration I dug and dug until I found the way to turn this feature off. (Its in the options of a completely different windows program.)
Only now, since messenger can't delete my files for me after I download them, it freezes instead. I download the file and as soon as its done, messenger freezes and has to be closed. At least now I can get to the file afterward, but that is nothing short of completely ridiculous that this is how the program operates.
2) And if you thought that was the bad news, it gets worse (for me anyway). The concert that i've been planning on going to, that I took a day off from work and was gonna drive all the way to LA for, won't be happening. The concert is still going on, but everyone that was gonna go with me has one by one dropped out, and I can't do it by myself. Not even counting the fact I have no car, the gas and hotel prices would be waay too much if not splitting them among several people.
And I can't even sell the tickets, as they just added me to a database and I show them an ID and confirmation number at the door to get in. So I have 4 tickets to see Nightwish and Sonata Arctica, a concert I've been looking forward to for months, and they're just gonna go to waste....it makes me sad.

I'm falling way behind on commenting and talking to people, but that's because I'm embroiled in a conflict with the SG site.
Not the staff, the site. The site appears to think I don't need to see any images, I get nothing but the "members are seeing ads", even in MY photo albums, and it's really bugging me. Me and tech support are in communication, but i can't very well tell you how that new tattoo looks or if the new set is sexy if i can't see any of them.
I know I'm not the first person to experience this, but I've done all the common workarounds, like clearing my cache, disabling cookies, logging out and back in. If anyone has any new ideas, I'd really love to hear them.

I may try to flip to swing shift, for that very reason soon, I'll ask the swing supervisor tonight if he wants/needs me to replace the girl who's leaving.

For many years now, I've had this address and no spam has found me that Google didn't put in it's place, but now I'm getting Viagra ads about every half an hour. It's incredibly frustrating, I'm hoping something happens and these stop getting through the spam filters.
