So the other day I talked about making the decision to send my old kitty White Boy to heaven because he was not only FIV positive but had kidney issues as well. Let's just say the more we dived into running blood tests the more gloomier it got, I won't go into detail.
After a long time of pondering what we could do to keep him alive and how to be able to afford it financially in the long run it came down to having to let him go.
I could of dealt with the health problems but money wise it was out of my league. Just to get him going on meds and such would of been close to $800 just to start and that's was with my employee discount. I hate and despise money and how it narrows down our lives.
All I know is he is in a better place and that's what matters.
RIP White Boy.

We buried him in the sunny spot under the tree he had grown to love since he was with us. He loved to soak in the sun.
And I figured since flowers were appropriate for a funeral I would walk around the neighborhood and take as many pictures of flowers and post it in this blog as his memorial. My own silly thing but I couldn't stand the thought of picking them and them dying as well. I get enough doses of death at work all week, sigh.
Anyhow, please enjoy some beauty in memory of my beloved kitty.
In memory of White Boy.

The mushroom was too cute!

Okay, was going to post some more stuff but I have to run to work now.
Peace people! Love you all.

Grrrr! Vent session! So I adopted a 17 year old cat last November in hopes of saving him from freezing and starving to death. Which he certainly would have if left where he was. I don't know what it was about him or maybe it was just me being my animal loving self but I had to try.
Slowly and with great care I have brought this cat back to good health. He grew all his hair back after a nasty flea infestation (He is hella allergic to them), put on 5 pounds or more, and was just being a happy, sleeping old
cat up until recently when his teeth decided to haunt him with pain. It was expected because he was a mess when I got him so I wasn't surprised when it happened.
So after many antibiotics, pain meds, etc. etc. $400 later I find out he has FIV which is untreatable. The way stupid thing is they didn't test him in the first place when they should of. Negligence on the doctors part.
And mind you I work at this place. I'm pissed!
Not so much that I spent that much but that I could of put the poor thing out of his misery. Not just FIV but kidney problems as well. All I can say is I did my best by him making him comfortable in the end.
I'm still deciding though whether to chance taking him home and let him live it out or just send him to heaven... I hate playing creator.
This is a miserable day.
