I also started reading a new Oliver Sacks book; "Awakenings" For some reason I have a strange fascination with psychology, especially abnormal psychology.


After working and relaxing for a while, I got to go out for some drinks. I had some Amaaaazing wine- red Zinfandel at this cute cafe in Northwest Philly.

I feel like such an adult today, haha! But don't let me fool you; I can just as easily enjoy a hole-in-the-wall diner and a good graphic novel!!

Hey! How have you all been? I haven't had much time to post lately because I've been trying to catch up on life.
Some days I go to sleep at 3 a.m. and wake up at 5 a.m. So glad I don't have to do that every day- I'd never survive!! Amongst all the work, I finally had time to do one of my favorite things... drive around exploring the roads of rural Pennsylvania. Here's a quick glimpse close-ups of what I saw along my route...hopefully more to come soon, but official work has to be edited first!!

Thank you all so much for your kind words! I'm sorry I haven't had time to get back to you all yet, but I've read your emails, and the comments you've left on my blog and I promise I'll get back to you all soon! If I could have it my way, every day would be filled with photography and fun, but for now I have to continue trying to balance everything else so the bills get paid.

So many times people ask, where do you see yourself ten years from now? It's such a crazy hypothetical question, and I bet many of you have no real idea.
Instead, I ask you, where were you ten years ago today? I know exactly where I was. I was in an art museum, discovering some of the artists who I still hold in high regard. I was in a diner listening to "Chantilly Lace". I was eating tuna on a croissant and a chocolate milkshake. I was riding on the passenger side with the Misfits turned up at full volume. I wore a camera around my neck, fishnets, shimmery eyeshadow, and an innocent smile.
It was a time in my life when I was just starting to understand who I was and where I fit into the world. The world was fresh and vibrant, and while I wasn't really naïve, I filtered the best from everything.
I was surrounded by friends who were passionate not just in their minds, but in their acts; musicians, artists, poets. Adorned in Ramones style leather jackets, patches, safety pins, and metallic dresses, they created intensely and proficiently with a type of honesty that will never again cross their faces. I hear the echo of the songstresses voices.
It is a time that I miss with my entire body. So close those days, yet merely translucent visions as they have now scattered across the globe. While some I see, their eyes do not sparkle so bright, or they shine only as they talk of husbands, wives and kids. Many of their dreams have gone unrealized and in them I see only shadows of what used to be. We are only in our early 20's. I am still pushing, eagerly ahead with an intense hunger that can never really be fed.
Which is a more accurate picture; the reality of who I've become; so many goals still waiting in the wings, or future visions of days past from someone who saw more clearly than I may ever see again?

What are you listening to right now? I go through phases where I listen to the same few bands for months, and then trade them in for other ones. Here's a taste of who's on my Ipod!

Thanks for all the great comments you guys have been leaving on Otoki's "Susan" set. We were both so excited about the way everything turned out. Some of you may not recognize her, but she's been on the site longer than I have. Although she's been really active, this is the first set she's released in two years! I really think she's made an amazing comeback and I'd like you all to see the set when you get the chance. This girl is more than just a pretty face. She's full of awesomeness too!

I hope you have all been well. I've taken a short break from posting, as my life has been crazy busy. I feel like I'm juggling a thousand things right now, and I just needed time to make a plan so it doesn't get overwhelming. I've been spending a lot of time at the gym, creating art, going to school full time, teaching art classes, and trying to get back on track with all my work. Life is demanding, but it can also be rewarding.
I wanted to let you all know about a set that I shot. I had the pleasure of working with the spectacular Otoki to create this Discworld Tribute set. It was lot of fun, and I think it's one of my most successful sets yet. I can't wait for you all to see it! Get ready for an amazing comeback from this stunning beauty. You will be able to see the entire set in member review Sep 22 @ 8pm., but here are a few previews to tide you over.

Remember when you were a kid, especially if you were a little girl at a sleepover party and talking about all the celebrities you had crushes on!? Well I was thinking about mine; some embarrassing, some obvious and a few just a little funny! I thought I'd share some of mine with you and would love to see some of yours too!

So, I'm planning a trip out west with IanMichaelMiller. We won't be traveling until next summer, but I always like to find out about things in advance because it's awesome to have a vacation to look forward to. Possible plans include Washington, Oregon, and Northern California? somewhere in Canada? I would love to hear recommendations from all of you, and hope to meet some of you while we're out there!

Sundays are such a weird day. I try to get stuff done, and have some fun, but they always feel so lazy. The stores close early, and people just seem to move more slowly. It's strange that so few major US cities have full-day Sundays, and close early during the week. It would be great to live in a place where I could go anywhere 24/7. What interesting things do you do on a Sunday?
