If my life has a soundtrack let Dylan sing the eulogy. Life is lived in the details... a life worth living that is. Have you considered your life lately? What is it comprised of? How are you living it? What are your ambitions? Dreams? Goals? Intentions? Who are you really and are you living a life worthy of that individual? Best intentions are meaningless if you have no intention to put them into action.
I was able to keep my speed at or below 75 this morning on my way up the canyon to work... God it felt slow! I don't see how anyone can maintain the speed limit day in and day out.
Anyways, I'm just bored at work and thought I'd make that comment. Back to sitting around...

Debated on some debauchery tonight, but don't think that I'm feeling up for it. Think that I'll just curl up here on the floor in a fetal like posture and hope I wake in another time and dimension!
Ordered a new camera the other day and just got the notification today that it was shipped! I'm fairly to very excited about that! Maybe I'll take up photography for a hobby. Keep thinking that I would like to get into mountain biking or some such activity also... why must everything cost an up front investment for the toys?
"The conditions under which any one understands me, and necessarily understands me, I know them only too well. Even to endure my seriousness, my passion, he must carry intellectual integrity to the verge of hardness. He must be accustomed to living on mountain tops--and to looking upon the wretched gabble of politics and nationalism as beneath him.... He must have an inclination, born of strength, for questions that no one has the courage for; the courage for the forbidden; predestination for the labyrinth. The experience of seven solitudes. New ears for new music. New eyes for what is most distant. A new conscience for truths that have hitherto remained unheard. And the will to economize in the grand manner--to hold together his strength, his enthusiasm.... Reverence for self; love of self; absolute freedom of self....
Very well, then! of that sort only are my readers, my true readers, my readers foreordained: of what account are the rest? The rest are merely humanity. One must make one's self superior to humanity, in power, in loftiness of soul--in contempt."

I think maybe I'll just become a mountain man and disappear into the wilderness. Or a monk in the hills of Japan. I give up!
I am incredibly outraged today! Why do we waste our time with sick fucks who beat and ultimately kill four year olds and then admit to it! They admitted to it, why are we having them go through court? Let's just take them out back and let everybody have a whack at them with a lead pipe! No reason to waste any time. Away with them. The world is better off without them! I'm sick thinking of the fear and pain that little boy endured his last days.
I feel old this week! My back is bugging me and my knees and I'm just tired for no real good reason. I need a vacation.
Feeling a little more upbeat this morning, but still struggling to be the shepherd! Good lord I can be an asshole when I want to be! Something I need to work on. Need to do the Mom's day shopping today because I didn't get around to it earlier this week.
Got my ticket to Kenny Wayne Shepherd the other day and I'm pretty stoked about that. This will be the third time I've seen him here in SLC and they never fail to put on a good show. Missed Flogging Molly last night though, I'd have liked to have made it to that show, but oh well. They'll be back probably before the year is out.
Well, I'm off. Up, up, and away!

I need to quit the alcohol. It puts me in the wrong state of mind! On a related note, I have a funeral to attend tomorrow. Depression sucks!
