Well, I guess it's time for a new blog! And this time, I actually have some content!
But before I start, I'd really like to just say a huge thank you to some amazing friends I have made on here. You guys make me smile on a daily basis, you've supported me for years, and I hope I've been as good a friend to you as you have been to me.

You guys make all my effort for this site seem worth it. I love you all dearly!
I've been going through a rollercoaster of depression and hell. Honestly, I'm not quite sure WHY I've been depressed lately, because honestly, life has been pretty good to me. Yes, planning the wedding is a bit stressful and squeezes the money out of us, but there's really nothing else going on. Super Bowl Sunday has been a difficult time for me for the last 4 years, and if you know me well enough, you know why, but otherwise I don't really want to get into it, not now at least. I'm seriously looking into going back into therapy, just to get some techniques to deal with the depression, for my own good, and for the good of my soon-to-be-marriage.
I decided it was time for a minor change, so when I was refreshing my blue, I added to it...and as always, I'm a dork.
Bleached roots in "public" make me uncomfortable, I yelled "Don't you laugh at it" to my coworkers several times because of this

I had bought new pants (well..technically they're bloomers) for the concert Mel and I were going to, but I had ordered them in the wrong size. They fit everywhere, except for the tiny detail that I couldn't button them shut, so in a creative flourish, I fixed the problem and I think it actually made them look better!

So on Tuesday early afternoon, Mel and I piled into her dad's car, with both of her parents to set off on our mid-week adventure to Portland. You see, for my birthday, Mel has bought me and her VIP tickets to the Emilie Autumn show in Portland. We felt like such little kids, sitting in the back seat, watching Howl's Moving Castle and giggling to ourselves

I love my Keroppi, he stole my headphones. But Mel was kind enough to style my hair beautifully for me

So as part of the VIP, we got to go in for the sound check, meet her, have pictures taken with her....here's just a few highlights from the night

Mel and I had both worn striped stocking with a clock sock over one calf

And I kind of felt like a pirate in my bloomers, torn shirt and corset

And here's the merch I bought/got with the VIP package, and the rat I had her sign

It was all just such an incredible experience. She is so kind and loving to all of her fans. Her hugs are true and passionate...and well, her grabbing my boobs just made the night great!
Let's finish this off with a video of her performances

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm waiting for my tax return so I can put money away for the wedding, and fix my garter tattoo!
