1. Hot Girls Hula-Hooping.
Does this one really need justification? If you aren't hip to the sudden resurgence in all things Hula, you need to head over to YouTube and check out quasi-disturbing videos like THIS ONE HERE.
2. Brick Walls As Backgrounds.
I had kind of thought this might just be a phase I was going through - but no. I'm a junky for pin-up shots against brick walls. My argument for the brick wall is that you can find a million different colors, textures, and patterns in every city in the world. Just in Birmingham alone I have found tons of gorgeous walls to shoot against. Nothing better on short notice.
3. Girls With Wet Hair / Girls in Water
Yeah, I know, it can be a cliche... but if done right nothing is hotter.
4. People. Asleep.
No clue. Just find it interesting. Alice (a model I work with some) and I did some park bench pics of her asleep once and I loved them. I want to do more.
5. The Buddha
I am intrigued by the notion of 'found' images. The concept is nothing new: Roland Sherman (Birmingham's own famous photog) did a book once called 'Elvis is Everywhere' that collected mages where Elvis-as-icon played some small role in the background. The Buddha is interesting to me just for the sheer volume of ways he can be represented, from fat-bald-happy to sleek-young-serene. Would like to jump into a 'Found Buddha' project at least by next year.
