So this is what my new house looks like:

So far we just have the bed built in, it very cozy to sleep in actually, and we've been staying warm so that's good. we've had to sort of migrate parking spots for a while to avoid being busted by parking patrol. legally we can't stay any one place on a public street for longer than 48hrs, so this requires a fun game of musical park spots. it's sort of like traveling, but i live here....? my favorite spot is under this oak tree, all these acorns fall on the roof when we sleep, and it sounds gorgeous.
turns out that there is a huge heirarchy of snobery in trailer parks, so we pretty much have been laughed out of everywhere for wanting to park a bus there. a good friend of mine that drives an '86 fith wheel had a bitch of a time finding a home too, because her's was older than a '91. we've had more promising leads with rv parks, but even some of them have been ridiculous. but we'll figure out something,
in the middle of moving out of our apartment into this bus, my landlords have been total cuntwads about us parking the bus nearby, which has made moving slightely more challenging. in the midst of this, my love fell ill with an absessed tooth. it was really fucking hardcore, and no joke, the man very well could have died. thank god that we found an amazing dentists, and we have been blessed with amazing support from our friends. i went a week without sleep, nursing him, i've never seen anyone in that kind of pain. so not to sound like somebody's mother, but brush your teeth, y'all.
so needless to say, i've had a challanging time of it, but i'm still in good spirits and feel blessed that he is recovering beautifully and to be surrounded by so much love. i have more faith than ever before that the universe provides.
on a happier note, i'm going to become a certified doula!!!! I've dreamed of doing this for years, and feel so happy to have found a class and program that compliments my schedual. So many new and trippy adventures ahead...
