Long time no post!

Back at college now. Lectures are more interesting when you're prepared, with books and all. Got my iPod today, so I'll be humping the bus every day to ZZ Top from now on.

Wrote some great lines today. Jamming with Dave on Saturday (he's like my own personal tobacco soaked Keef). We're gonna rock like it's 9:19 pm.

And that's all for now. If anybody knows where I can get a set of 50's style overalls, I'd appreciate it.

P.S. Had to cancel the Halloween party today . Never fear though - I'm planning a Moustache party for late November.

I found a poster of Debbie Harry a few days ago, looking foxy and surrounded by smashed-up 8-track cassette players. Nice. And that's that.

Went to Kinky Kingdom tonight and it was supersuperb. A drag king did QOTSA's "No One Knows". Brilliant and cool, complete with sneer.

The good news:

* All my eBay auctions are selling.
* I just hired The Thing on DVD
* I started (finally) the rough-ins on two guitars tonight

The bad news:

* No sign of my Firebird belt buckle
* I've got the sniffles
* I have no idea where to get giant pumpkins from. You know, for jack-o-lanterns.

Plus my bass is playing like shit today. Must be the damp weather - either that or I need to practice more.

Huzzah for getting my hair professional-ised on Saturday! It's been four years, so it should be interesting. I wonder what stylists have evolved into by now...my imagination is telling me they are five armed, three mouthed bears with neat beards and shoes cooler than Satans Reeboks. Oh boy!

Well, it's two months to Halloween, and for all you non-Australians out there it's a bit of a non-event over here...

Until this year, beause I'm having a fuckin' party. Here's the inspiration for this year. I've had a couple of attempts at getting parties off the ground at the place I moved in to three or so months ago, but both attempts ended up being costume-free and quieter than I would have liked (thanks to a complete lack of planning on my behalf). BUT NOT THIS TIME. Plenty of notice, plenty of effort.

Had a good veggie breakfast this morning with a friend of mine and her dahhhhhhling hairstylist (and if you're picturing some sashaying uber-swish you couldn't be further from the reality of his near bear-like coolness), then went for SECRET PHONE COMPANY BUSINESS I AM NOT ALLOWED TO DISCUSS OPENLY except that I get cool shit until December so Iced Vovo to you.

I had not one, but TWO people cancel on me today - one for meeting for giggles tomorrow, and one for seeing ROLLERBALL tonight - Australia's answer to the desert-fuzz rock of California. I must have some bad, stinky karma going on today. Oh lord, won't you buy me a big platinum wig.

Managed to see Machine Translations at the Annandale tonight though. They were like Fleetwood Mac meets Sonic Youth, with lots of dirgy dirgy dirby num num gabba hey thrown in...and I didn't pay for a single drink.

Feeling better about the iTunes crap. Uploaded half a dozen photos of my stuff and me to the gallery. Yowza!

Howdy. Prepare for a geeky rant.

Having a terrible time trying to burn a CD in iTunes. First I get an error 4450 (whatever the hell that is), so I update the DVD drivers from the Pioneer homepage. NOW iTunes doesn't even recognise any burning software or devices whatsoever. DAMN.

Was going to see DOOMFOXX tonight, but the person I was going to go with bailed. Typical. I wonder if I should go on my own...seeing Rollerball tomorrow, so that's something I guess.

Put three new things on eBay today, and I'm looking for more. I NEED YOUR MONEY BAD!!!

Friday night. Time for a Wild Turkey or three.

Just came back from blacklamb's place with a camera full of photos for the profile pic. Came out nicely, if I do say so myself. Well done matey, you take a good picture!

Stuff that needs to happen in the next seven days:

* Order guitar building stuff and get cracking on Chippy's guitar.

* Sell my iPod mini and buy an iPod nano (consumer whore = me)

* Write some damn lyrics

* Apply for university

* Polish my boots

* Hang out with my sister

* Buy a record player (maybe)

Money poor, time rich. For now.
